Conditions/Temp ============= 62 degrees (10/15/15)
Modifications, if any =========== Pfadt JOC shocks + sways, Wilwood W6As with H pads front, B pads rear, Callaway CAI

Okay, it is all updated. I am considering changing something in the format to make it a little quicker to update.

Since everyone posts their "Details" when submitting, I will simply post the username and time, in time order under the track. With a link to the details / video provided. Then if people wish to validate it they can view full details.

This will drastically decrease the size of the first thread, making it much more manageable to read, as well as making it simpler for me to update it. The added benefit to you all is, that all of the juicy information that you want people to read will be passed on, aside from just what I deam pertinent.

Let me know.

Example:
Autobahn Country Club
Layout: South

Poor-sha - 1:33.39
Peterjank -- 1:35.11

I think that's a good idea. That way if someone wants more details about a certain lap time, they can simply click the link instead of having to scroll for a while to find the track they want.

If its not too much trouble can you add the Car Model to the laptime link (C6/C7 ... Z51, GS, Z06, Z07, ZR1, etc ..)

Example:
Autobahn Country Club
Layout: South

Poor-sha - C7 Z06 ~ 1:33.39
TKOGTO - C6 GS ~ 1:09.06

Enjoyed the video. Noticed a couple interesting things. First at 0:42 under hard braking it looks like your rear wiggled around which is something that bugged me during my last track event. Do you notice that often?

Second, you were running in PTM Race but the TC/AH light was flashing, mostly under braking and in corners. Is that coming on with ABS? Found it strange it was flashing in Race mode.

Finally about half-way through the lap, you're out of Race and in what looks like the standard Track mode without a PTM submode. Did you change on purpose or bump something during the lap?

I had a hell of an issue when I first got the car on right turns. Found the left rear caster at 1.6 negative and changed to 0.8 positive. Right side was OK. My car has stage 2 aero. There was a car behind us with a wing. We were simply going faster than the tires would hold. No big deal, just a little counter steer.

We have all noticed that under braking but we don't feel it in the car. GM says everything is never completely off on this car. It is way over my head, so I don't know.

We did not intentionally change anything. But, the car really went crazy on the third lap, lights flashing, Limp mode, all kind of messages on DIC, etc. I was really just trying to show the line and what I thought was a good lap.

VIR October 2nd 2016
Time 9 AM Ambient temp in 60s
Although there had been two SCCA Pro Races before we got on track when I came out of pit lane the track still looked damp from a heavy dew the night before. This was the Instructor Run Group for the Tarheel Chapter of BMWCCA.

I set my personal best lap time in this session with a 2:07.9 on the final full lap. I had a passenger in the car with me to help balance the car.

Max Coolant Temp was 210

Max Oil Temp was 251

Looks like an A8? Were you manually shifting? 152 is a great VMAX on the front straight!

Yes manually shifting the A8. I can't shift the M7 as fast as you so opted for the auto.

Thanks I actually hit 161 at one time for a brief sec before braking on another PDR VID. This Corvette just has amazing power but still getting use to the A8 shift points and rev, hit rev limiter many times learning the lag time from pulling the paddle but by the end of day got the hang of it. Always had manual shift corvettes, after adding APR rear wing and front down force I noticed the car going backwards around 140MPH while shifting my C7 so I opted on the A8.

BTW thanks Poor-sha for all your great info on this forum, I have learned a lot from your posts.

It looks like you were in one of the street modes since the track mode isn't displayed in the video and the stability control light came on several times during your run. Why didn't you try Track Mode Sport 1, Sport 2 or Race? I saw the 2:08 lap which is very good and you may have been able to knock a second or two off if running in Sport 2 or Race.

Bill Thanks for the tip, I will defiantly go sport 2 or Race when I know the limits of the C7 Z06. It was my first day on track with the Z and my goals where keeping it on the track. This is the first time tracking with 650HP/650TQ, way different animal from my C5Z. The Green Hell taught me the hard way!! Now I start out slow and smooth. I live in Clemmons NC, would love to bend your ear on alignment/track recommendations on day. I'm down in Charlotte often.

FWIW I would try Track mode - Sport 1. You still have active handling and I've still run some of my best laps in Sport 1 so you're not losing much if anything in lap time.
