Yes, I used the search function and came up empty.
Looking for a great performing drag radial for to rip-off some consistent high 10 second time slips in my 2016 Z with A8 trans.
Something tells me that there is not a drag radial offered for our 20 inch rims (educated guess) am I right?
If there is no drag radial that fits the stock rim what is the best bang for the buck option to go for a knock off wheel (in black) and what is the best performing drag radial to use (make and size)?
I always thought the MT ET Drag Radials that were developed several years ago where the best out there but have not kept up with the most recent options on the market.
Thanks in advance.

MT offers a DR in the rear size. The jury is still out on an overall opinion for both strip and street driving. It's a great strip tire, but unsafe for hwy use. I use Nittos NT05R'S in 19's on reproduction wheels. I'm very happy with them and have run 10.50-10.74 on them.

Wow, great to know thanks!
If the weather is dry out and one was simply driving to the drag strip and using the highway on a very limited basis in dry weather only, I would imagine that would not be a problem from a safety perspective?
Congrats on your 1/4 mile times that's exactly where I would like to be running, A8 trans I assume and what mods. (if any)?

They're spooky on the highway not because of rain but because they dance. They follow ruts, or their own minds, or something.
I had miles of open freeway in front of me so decided to do a quick 60-100 rip and at 85 it did a complete lane change. Good thing the road was clear.
I'm hoping they're good for the dragstrip where it's flat and predictable, but haven't braved them yet, I was waiting for others to post some track experience with them. But the only story I've heard so far was them getting squirrelly on lifting!

Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S Radial Tire P335/25R20
Yes, you are exactly right. I purchased these tires a few weeks ago and they made the car uncontrollable on the highway. Very dangerous. I then spoke to one of my friends who owned a Stingray and he told me that I would have to change the front tires also. I told him that I didn't believe it. Sure enough, I replaced the two run flats in the front and the sway cut down tremendously. I still have a little sway, but not as bad.
I contacted Mickey Thompson. I spoke with Mark 1-800-222-9092. He told me that there has been a stop production on these tires and they are coming up with a new design specifically for the 2014 to present Corvettes. He even gave me two options: 1) I could wait until they come back out or 2) He will refund me my money as long as I sent the tires back.
My advice would be, if you are going to run these tires. Make sure you just use them for racing. I would not recommend them for daily driving. I know this is a pain, but right now this is it.
I will continue to keep you all posted.

Nitto has now released a 315-35_20 NT05R drag radial. I have them and will try to get them mounted tomorrow. If I do I'm going to the track Sunday afternoon and see how they do these as well as how they drive on the highway.

Needs 10.5 or 11" wide wheels.
Dead hooks, I have run a best of 10.39..
and no "wobble" at all like others have reported on other DR's or slicks.

2. did you run these with the factory front tires?
3. did you drive the car to the track with them mounted? or switch them at the track.
Looking to run 10.50's with minor bolt ons and wheel and tire change. Seems very feasible but obviously I am doing my research
A8 car as well

2. I haven't but many folks do.
3. I do when I race at my closer track (30 min drive one way).

I just ordered 18x12+59mm (for Drag Radials) C7 Z06 reproduction rear wheels. I'm putting 345/35-18 Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S tires. The wheels look just like my stock 20" black wheels.. From what I'm told they should be perfect for the street and track. I can't wait to get my car back from www.raceprovenmotorsports.net.. I should be around 850rwhp.. If anyone wants more info on the wheels and tires PM me..

Not that I will be driving in the rain but Summit Racing says this tire is actually ok in the rain. Again I don't drive my mine in the rain so I don't care either way. Look them up on Summit Racing website.

Same here, but there is always that occasional shower that pops up on the way home. Comforting that you can limp it home with some confidence.

Well I just found out that the 20" Nitto drag radials won't work. They are too tall and rub. I've got my 19" 345-30-19 Nittos coming tomorrow. Lesson learned.
