100 octane GM tune

A little confusing as it says you can run 93 octane on the street. Heck I have 93 available, can I run this tune on the street and beat on it all the time? I don't plan on tracking the car but will occasionally beat the snot out of it on the street.

If getting this tune means that you have to run 93 octane as a minimum on the street, then it is useless for the majority of the country who have to suffer with 91 octane being the best 'normal' fuel they can find.
Furthermore, IF this '100 octane tune' in no way helps with an overheating condition on track, (meaning helping keep engine oil/water temps in check), it's pretty damn useless as the car is fast enough on a road course running 91/93 octane IMHO.

93!?
Well that makes it easier on them!
This is common knowledge, and it will help significantly! We have seen right here how much happier this engine can be, and yes real 104+ octane booster works too!

But yes, I can't get 93 octane regularly. Reason enough I can't use it. I think the guys using the car at the drag strip will love it. It's fairly inexpensive way to get a better time slip. Road course...meh, better spend the money on tires.

I'm ALL OVER THIS if it allows you to use 93 octane like I use anyways and maintains the factory warranty!
Hopefully this is available soon this would be GREAT (something like Ford offers GM never has performance upgrades like this that you can do and not void your factory warranty)!

I think it's great that GM is starting to give us options. I'd love to try this but I only have a few stations with 93 around me. Not sure if it's worth the aggravation of going out of my way? I have to run 91 once in a while and it sounds like this 'tune' might be too aggressive for that? I'm interested in seeing what you guys think.

Called my Dealer today and the Tune part number is not yet available for purchase.
The parts Dept. manager even contacted GM and was advise its not yet for sale.
He told me to check back in a few days.

We have 93 available pretty much all up and down the east coast and inland near the tracks I run. Most of the tracks have some higher octane fuel available.
I just ran three days at Daytona and 98 and 112 are available at the track. The 112 is leaded, and the 98 is unleaded and $8.40/gallon. I tried half a tank of 98 with 93 and didn't notice any performance difference.
I guess the 98 wouldn't be optimum with the new tune.
And.....this car REALLY sucks down the fuel!!!! I was averaging 3.9 mpg or less! The Rolex24 road course is 3.56 miles long, so I was using almost 1 gallon/lap!!! Id start out full, and after a 30 minute session I'd come in with less than 1/4 tank remaining. In my C6 Z06 or ZR1 I'd come in with around a 1/2 tank remaining. With that 98 octane for $8.40/gal, 12 gallons is $100 per session!!!!!

When someone gets the tune, time to dump it into HPTuners and compare it to a stock file. I doubt it's changed very much.

Dropped mine off a dealer yesterday and have copy of stock tune on my laptop. Hopefully TCSC gets things straightened out today. They didn't know anything about it yesterday.
