Voted brakes also as its a safety issue. I would like to have the coolant temp gauge too with track settings, maybe next time!

Brakes is at 90%

No problems with my 2015 yet, but that is why I always have all maintenance done by the dealer. Their problem not mine if something goes wrong. Cheap insurance since they really don't charge that much to drain, flush, and bleed brakes every track season.

I also use the dealer for that same reason and had 2 failures.

Voted.

Don't need a brake problem in addition to overheating on track.
going to the pits due to overheating is frustrating and sucks, but losing brakes is unacceptable just like losing the power steering assist.

Update: My warranty claim was denied by GM because they couldn't replicate the problem under normal driving conditions.

The advisor said that if more people complain about this issue it will be revisited. Please contact Tony Gerbasi at 866 446-6963 x5911544, or anthony.gerbasi@gm.com

I will keep you guys updated if it progresses.

This makes no sense to me. If your engine blows on track, it's covered. If your brakes leak on track, it's not? Why does it need to be replicated on the street? They leaked. Period. Done. GM, fix it.

I tried to make that exact line of logic, and the response was "each case is evaluated separately." So your engine may or may not be covered after an on track failure. It's not written in stone.

More importantly, I'm not gonna be driving my car on the track until this safety issue is addressed by GM. I just don't trust it.

Exactly the response I received; it couldn't be replicated by the service dept!

GM encourages us to use the Z06 on a road course via advertising and by the 'track section' in the manual, and yet they refuse to take these leaking brake bleeders seriously. Sure it's only a small percentage of owners experiencing the issue, but that doesn't make it any less of a safety concern!

You would think after the ignition inter-lock crap GM would at least spend the resources necessary to get to the bottom of what the cause is. Hell, I'd be glad to purchase upgraded "track ready" brake bleeders from GMPP IF GM would just make them available.

Unbelievable, and its crap like this that makes me consider other brands.

I trust you talk to a district rep for GM and not just the dealer manager.

Using the old "cause and effect" process, you were driving the car anywhere and the brakes bleed off enough fluid to not work properly. You have the car towed to the dealer as its unsafe. Explain the possible leak issue with documentation to back it up, they repair it.

If its leaking and you continue to feed it more fluid your masking the real problem. Just trying to help, good luck on this extremely important issue.

Yes, I think I was at level 3 escalation. He said that was GMs final decision and my only other course of action was to write a letter.

i tweeted to Mary Barra yesterday and will continue to until I get blocked or get a resolution.

Have you thought about reporting this issue to the NHTSA? I know I have.

I have thought about it, but since it happens off road, i'm not sure it would qualify.

Bish, give Tony a call on Monday. If he gets more cases, this will get paid more attention.

Tadge seems to read the posts in the actual ask Tadge thread question before he answers. He made comments in the past about some posts. Who ever had an issue should post links or personal experience on ask Tadge as he might be the ticket for faster evaluation and solution.

Do you remember Tony's actual position/role?

Thanks
