If nothing else, there will be at least one 2016 Admiral Blue SC757 at the Bash from Tuesday afternoon through Saturday evening.

And Chris, I'll take the tour at whatever time is the least subscribed.

Norm,

Tours should be added this week tot he NCM Bash Schedule. I met with the NCM yesterday and there will be five (5) personal tours, giving an insider's look at the cars/history of Callaway.
One on Thursday afternoon, then two on Friday (AM and afternoon) and again on Saturday (AM, and after lunch)

Here's the first video in the series, kicking-off the Callaway exhibit at the NCM. It features the World Famous Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette, and showcases some of the other models in the background.

There will be additional videos over the next several weeks, and I'll post links as they come online. In the meantime, here's the link to the first:

Also, The Corvette Blogger just ran a story yesterday on our 2010 Callaway SC606 Demo Corvette Grand Sport which has surpassed the 250,000-mile mark, trouble free. A Quarter Million Miles, and still going strong

Here's a link to that story:

Here's Part #2 of the 16 part series, featuring 1#987-001, the Callaway Corvette which started it all:

Great videos, Chris! Thanks for sharing them. I'm definitely going to need to make a trip to Bowling Green while the Callaway exhibit is there!

Here's a link for the NCM Bash Schedule, which includes several Callaway-related activities, including the seminar with Reeves Callaway & Mike Zoner, plus the "behind the scenes, insider's tours" of the Callaway Collection:

Chris, while the tours have been added to the schedule the second half of the action, the ability to sign up for them, has yet to be added to the BASH entry form. Otherwise you could be leading a group of 40 or more people through the display.

The same pattern is in effect for Reeves and Mike's presentation on Saturday which I must miss due to a C7 class.

Ben, The tours are set-up for room until the space fills... The NCM didn't have provisions to sign up, officially.

Can you swap spots for the C7 class? If not, while still early, should I request the slot change?

Also, would you be interested in a Callaway Owners Dinner inside the halls of the NCM? If so, which eve? Fri?

The class is the one of two being taught by Paul Koerner on Thursday (filled) and Saturday (the one I am in) I don't think I can swap the classes. I guess I will have to miss the first 15 minutes of Reeves' and Mike's presentation as my class does not end until 10:30 but if you could get them to slip the time by that same 15 minutes I would be grateful. As for your walking class on the Callaways on display, I will certainly have time to take one or more.

As for a Callaway Owners Dinner, pick the night and time and let me know - I shall be there. BTW, there is already a Banquet scheduled for Friday evening at the NCM.

Meet Frieda: The Callaway Race Car

In late 1993, Callaway’s European distributor, Ernst Wohr, entered a Supernatural car in the European GT endurance series. Ernst had lined up Boris Said as his driver and he approached Reeves Callaway for engines, and some of Paul Deutschman’s time to do the bodywork for the car.

In 1994 the Callaway team placed themselves on pole at Le Mans, by five seconds in the Corvette-based model, and did very well. The car ran the rest of the major endurance races that year and it generated orders for three more cars for European customers.

See this car and many other Callaways in our Exhibit Hall, now through May 5.

Let's kick-off the weekend with Video #08 of the 17-Part Video Series from the National Corvette Museum Callaway Cars Display.

This vehicle, the Series II Super Speedster w/ LM AeroBody, is one amazing car!

Enjoy the video and be sure to visit the NCM to see this special collection/display in person.
