i have a question, has anyone had there car lowered and installed this and noticed a drastic improvement still or would the improvements not be as pronounced because the shock travell is reduced from lowering? I ask this because DSC recommends not lowering the car if I remember correctly for optimal performance , I just can't stand the wheel gap. I have a 2016 z07 lowered all the way on stock bolts, which doesn't lower that much even. I assume s slammed car is where the DSC controller might not be as noticeable?

Thanks!

letting the car sit in the middle of the suspension travel is not related to installing the DSC controller. it has to do with getting the most travel in both directions as possible. unless you are running hard enough on the track to truly max out your suspension travel, I don't think it would matter all that much for the street, IMO. (except for maybe big bumps)

Mine is lowered all the way on stock bolts too and the DSC still radically changes how the car rides. I assume since the shocks still have full travel, it's not really an issue.

Looks like there is now a link to download the firmware and a utility to load the firmware. I just downloaded it.

I got my unit this afternoon, and checked the website earlier around 3pm EST and there was no firmware, but the .pdts files for launch control were there. Now the firmware is available. I am going to update tomorrow sometime.

Got the controller installed and there is a definite improvement, but I really got to do about a 30 minute drive around town, so no real spirited driving. I look forward to more driving tomorrow, but I am definitely impressed with what I feel so far.

So, after you run the installer you unplug the usb from the computer? Then replug in the usb, open the tuner software, and then upload the new .pdts file?

Or can you use the "Reset Board" under the Tools menu? If not, what is the "Reset Board" option meant to be used for?

Thanks, I'll update tomorrow. When you get a chance, I sent you a PM about some alignment questions.

Give the TOURING PLUSH version a shot. Cool stuff. I'll probably flash mine this weekend.

Could you explain your comment more on the nose dive control please? Is your car a Z07 or not?

So all the other modes are the same as the other launch control file, except with Touring tweaked?

Now that so many of you have this I'd love to hear a more thourough review about the type of night and day changes I can expect while driving spirited on the street. I understand how it works and I understand how it can be more comfortable but I want to hear people's impressions about putting the power down and about hitting winding roads hard.

Thanks!

Best.
Gene

Yeah. Personally I love the softer Touring mode but I know everyone is different. It just smooths out all the tiny bumps and road noise but makes the car feel more solid and quiet. Lets me focus on hearing the good stuff like that exhaust note!

The car is non Z07, I noticed prior to the DSC, braking from around 100mph to turn, felt there was more nose dive and the rear felt quite light and not stable. First thing I tried after the install was that, and it felt way better and more under control, didn't feel much of the nose diving and definitely the rear was more together.

personally, SPORT is the way to run - did NOT buy a performance car to ride like a Cadillac which is what DSC has done with the TOURING tweaks. But to each their own.

Also, would this be dangerous for any reason to roll around in this modified tour configuration with LC weight transfer ability?

Thank you!

ps. Looking forward to hearing about aggressive street performance.
Gene thanks for asking about the launch control is it available in all three modes . Yes I added the launch to all three modes. It is activated by clutch in, mph less than zero and a blip of the throttle beyond the setting in the accel table. I have it set at 20℅ . In the auto car just brake pressure over 25bar and mph less than zero and blip throttle or you can hold throttle.
Hope this helps

I'm sure that's why they uploaded it as an optional file. Everyone's tastes are different. That's also one of the coolest aspects of the DSC unit. You can make it exactly the way you want and don't have to rely on other people's opinions.

everyone has different roads all across the country as well. If I am in San Antonio the roads are wide and smooth, in the Hill Country I am pretty sure the small vibrations will rattle the Z06 apart.
