That is a life building memory for you both. Thanks for sharing that with us. Love the Z06, awesome car. Enjoy it. It is great to see the wonderful relationship that you and your son maintain.
God Bless your family and may you get another new Corvette again.

Thank you so much for this comment. I certainly feel blessed!!!

Indeed you are!!!

I forgot to mention when I wrote about my Son and I with our Ford Lightning's, that the last few years my Father In Law and I have been enjoying our bond with Corvettes, a few years ago we each bought a Silver C6 Z06 and had a bunch of fun with them, sold them about a year or so ago, then back in November he bought a new 2016 Callaway 757 Z06, and a few weeks later I bought my 2016 Z06/Z07, here is a picture of our cars from the 1/2 mile races we did together back in December.

This is great...love the pics. It gives me even more inspiration to make sure I carry through on new events with my son this Spring and Summer...thanks! I may even pull out the drone and get better footage of the cars to share with everyone here (if I haven't already bored everyone to death with the current video).

Great stuff, a side of things from the Corvette world that often gets overlooked, they bring families together with something in common to talk about. Just today I took my '64 Sting Ray out to dinner and I got this great parking spot, I sent my son the photo and it instantly sparked a conversation, that's priceless.

I have an affinity for sports cars and have owned a handful of Corvettes in my past including a 1984 C4, 1995 C4, 2006 C6 convertible, 2011 GS convertible, 2009 ZR1 and now a 2016 Z06/Z07 3LZ.

With as much as I like Vettes, I have to say that this new one is by far the most impressive and fun one I've ever owned. I am so excited about it, I had to break my silence and share it here with others whom I knew would appreciate it.

This may be kind of weird, but my son and I like to vlog. We're not good at it, but we have fun with it. My son and I went on road trip recently to collect my new Z06. We took his new Corvette, a 2008 4LT coupe. We video recorded as much as we could, and I put a vlog together to document the experience. I thought I'd share it with you all today. Sorry if it gets boring and silly, but I figured you all might like to see the cars (and see what goofballs we can be).

Great story, glad you are passing the car thing along to your son. We/families need reasons to spend time with one another. Love people - use things, sounds like you have it right!

Sincere thanks to all who have visited this thread and watched the video. I was a little hesitant to share (because I thought it was a bit silly) but I am truly inspired to make more videos now. In fact, my son and I just swapped my stage 3 spoiler setup back to a stage 1. I wished I would've vlogged that. Oh, well. Here are some pics from the event. I thought I'd share.

Happy to share. I actually purchase all my sound effects and music through a subscription that I have with DigitalJuice.com.

The music selections from DigitalJuice are names as follows:
1259136_theMoonVersionC
1108452_buckleUp
1263594_overTheTop

The font I used was EUROSTILE

Not sure how much this helped, but thanks for inquiring!
