Ive already helped a few guys with my ported TB that have a CAI....no codes....no issues.....just a more responsive engine (better tip in) with a much more linear feel of the throttle and so far everyone says the dreaded "dead spot" is history. The added power it produces from the 150 or so extra CFM the porting provides is the cherry on top (about 10 RWHP in the Z06)

CAI and the ported TB should be the first mods done to this car.....if you want more than that you will have to deal with a tune but these two upgrades are big bang for the buck and as a few of you pointed out extremely easy to install

Im shipping another wave of TB's next week....should have some additional feedback from some of them that hopefully make it on this thread also

Regards,
Tony

Adding an X pipe would need a tune?

That would likely still fly under the radar as well.....it does more for sound than it does for changing the engine's ability to process air.

I would think all three would be fine....but pick the two you want the most and do the 3rd last!

I think the ported TB and the CAI are going to give you the best SOTP gains however in that order. The CAI is just modestly improving on something that is "OK" from the factory....the OEM TB is really lacking and that's why its a more notable change from the drivers seat when you replace it

Spoke withTony Mamo today because I was not sure if my A8 Z06 would benefit from this mod since all the posts are about the M7 cars. He said it will and if I didn't like it I could return it for a full refund.
Tony said they will be shipping next week and will not charge my card until it ships and will send tracking info at that time.
Looks like I have met another great vendor here so I put my order in today.

Okay you have my attention...

I have the following:
Halltech CAI
Halltech TRIC
Corsa X-Pipe
Corsa Extreme Cat Back
Vitesse Throttle Controller

How will this TB enhance my current set up and at this point need a tune?

I didn't catch the price point and if theres any military discounts?

Thanks!

Sometimes it's needed. If you have a big enough cam that you have to open the throttle blades far enough that the you start to uncover the idle transfer slots, you lose the ability to control idle fueling through the mixture screws. So that's fixed by the holes in the throttle blades to allow enough air through without cranking the blades open wider.

As for "figure out how to tune" them, I don't know of another way around that except cracking the secondaries open...

Right now I have them discounted for an introductory special....that is over the end of this month. PM me for details and info exchange and we can get one headed your way in a couple of weeks or so.

I think it will be a nice addition to your current list of mods....it will wake up the throttle response quite a bit as well as adding some additional top end power!

Lol, I didn't go far enough back for his reference to get to carbs. I agree 100%.

There were guys that used to drill throttle bodies in the beginning.

Been doing more testing on the N/A stuff Mike.....and waiting on my TB order which was back ordered almost two weeks.

Im shipping a few more LT4 units this week....the N/A stuff is right behind that.
Should have it in the mail the end of the week....next Monday at the latest. Sorry for the delay....the backorder of the parts was most of the issue

I installed one on a customers car today as a matter of fact (a really good looking silver Z07 package)....customer was pleased with the results of the swap....grabbed this quick shot of his siver C7 and my silver C6 before he left...thought it was a cool shot!

Pissed? Not me!

Pissed is when it takes a year to get your race car out of chassis shop jail.

Pissed is when it take 5 months to get your race car out of paint shop jail.
