Has there been an equivalent / similar designation to Camaro 1LE designation in Corvette's history?
Could L88 fit in for the big wing C7?
The wing on the ZL1 1LE has this "X" on the endplate...

You could be right, particularly if a mid-engine C8 is forthcoming with a completely different power train.
A ZR1 could be a short term build where product line budgeting necessitates a modified LT4 (same Gen V Small-Block architecture) with a bigger blower, hopefully no cylinder deactivation (anticipated lower vehicle sales with less impact on CAFE), more cooling and associated ducting.
Sure hope it's really strong!

The ZL1 1LE is 3 seconds/lap quicker at Milford than ZL1. Multimatic spool valve dampers similar to Gen 5 Z28, 60 lbs lighter, 6 speed manual, lots of aero, 305 fronts/325 rears, etc...
It's funny how much sense this makes in hindsight, now what changes make sense for the C7 winged mule?

My prediction months ago was a Z06 that was lighter more aero but same LT4 and called Z06 L88 or whatever designation they want to use and the ME car will be the ZR1. We'll see if I'm close!

So, yeah, maybe the ZR1 will be a track pack version of the Z06... interesting.
I'd be disappointed if there wasn't more power, even though I'd never use it...yeah, the bragging rights, EGO thing

L88 would be a great RPO code, however with the historical value, I'd expect it to bring more power.
Sounds crazy when being objective about the tremendous performance of the Z06, but with all the ZR1 hype/speculation, I'd be disappointed if the anticipated C7 KING didn't raise the bar in the HP department.

the 1LE nee Z28 and ZR1 mules were tested together for a bit, and there was speculation they would both be using a new LT-5 engine.
seems likely now ZR1 will get a lot of these same track bits, including wing and adjustable suspension and the same LT4 engine

I'm thinking the C7 counterpart we've seen in photos may receive the new more efficient Eaton 2650cc rotor package. Eaton said the new rotors would debut in an oem however that could be the new 800+ HP Demon with AWD.
