Holding off buying the new lid based on Tadges response that there will be a program available. When?? Ask Tadge question poll?

For some bizarre reason, the mods have not been willing to raise this question again in the "Ask Tadge...?" section. That is the only place that any GM corporate employee will bother to look and we are stymied from asking the question. The only way to get feedback from an intentionally unresponsive company is by asking that question over and over in public. You notice that when he had a crowd of people around him, he was all about helping out the vette faithful, since then.....crickets!

I think the "fix" offered by GM is to buy a ZL1 with its 10 coolers at MSRP and trade in your Z at Trade In Value.

Based on the new Camaro ZL1 1LE recently announced, the Corvette ZR1 may just be a re-engineered Z07 track edition that reduces weight, improves aero, improves cooling, and improves handling. Makes sense considering previous reports indicate that the test mules sound like the current LT4. If so, I doubt GM will offer any type of retro kit for 2015-2016 model owners if the front fascia and hood are redesigned similar to the leaked photos.

First there was The Ring time, and now, the cooling fix.

I sucks that I think the fix is on the 2017 M7. The issues with the 15 and 16 auto made me shy away for the new Z06 and I kept my C6z.

I talked to 2 guys that run Sebring with 17 M7s and couldn't be more happy with them. It's a fast track and really pushes the heat factor. One of the guys told me if you complain enough GM will offer the second radiator through the dealer.

I don't believe they are doing anything for the 15/16 cars. Swapping the lid without the lower Supercharger housing and bricks isn't a worthwhile modification.

Are you experiencing issues with your C7Z?

My guess is since so few owners with automatics actually track their cars, GM is going to ignore them as long as they can or all together. If they do anything at, they will most likely handle each case separately one on one with varying degrees of results. I doubt the will do anything for all Z06 A8 owners in mass. GM would be to embarrassed to admit publicly that the flag ship sports car fails at one of the aspects it should be great at.

Maybe we have never seen a official Nurburgring lap time posted is because the test cars overheated and did not finish?

Hey...this is the honorable General Motors we're talking about...and they will absolutely offer a fix for the early adopters!!!! (ONLY if they get successfully sued of course)

Sounds like a good time for a class action lawsuit, filed and well publicized at the release of the zr1. Unless GM is embarrassed, they won't follow through.......even on "promises" they made to take care of owners.

Fortunately, they can't force me to by another vette from them. My Z06 is my 6th vette I have purchased new. It very well be my last. Why should customers be loyal to GM, if it isn't a 2-way street?

^^^ They have absolutely no obligation to bring any fixes to previous years cars. It would be the right thing to do but this is a low volume car and they don't care. There will always be another new buyer ready to buy that does not know how they treat customers after the purchase.

You sound like a GM employee. I feel there is an obligation to fix a prior years car if there is a manufacturing defect that would prevent the car from operating as claimed by GM when sold. And you are wrong about there always being another customer to take your place, especially when dealers are having to discount z06s by $10 to $15 to keep from having 100+ days of inventory sitting on their lots.
And it's not like GM is running a second or third shift at the plant.

The absence of any comments or feedback from anyone with GM or Chevy customer service that follow these forums speaks volumes. This is a terrible shame after one of their leadership said clearly there would be a resolution for us. This will be my last vette. After its time, off to another brand!! :-(

Anyone that trusts the word of Tadge after his c6z statements is kidding themselves. Just my honest opinion.

This is just **** poor but not surprising. He monitors this forum or atleast participates and should be asked the question after his statements at Carlisle on video.
