Ported throttle body question
Hi Guys,
I bought one of these from a reputable vendor on here and prior to installing it I gave it a good looking over. I noticed it has a very small nick in the blade. What should I do? Is it fine or should I ask for an exchange?
Thanks!

You know that it's going to bother you... so why not ask for an exchange? That's what I would do because it would bother me.

Did you pay for the slight scratch ON the blade or WITHOUT it? Would you accept your Vette with a slight scratch ON the hood? Wont have any impact on the performance of the car either...Just sayin.

2 seconds with a round file or a box cutter will eliminate that tiny piece of flash. Not even woth a phone call.

I definitely wouldn't care. At all.

Its more of an indentation - like a grinding wheel nicked it during machining or something. I don't care cosmetically or anything, I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't have any tangible impact. It's right on the edge so it does have a very minor impact on the outer edge of the throttle blade - its no longer a perfect radius. I'm guessing a tiny bit more air will pass through than commanded but it's so small that it's probably irrelevant.

I am one who gets pissed off at new sht that is not 100% right, it should be! However that very small indentation is not going to have any effect on the air flow and I would not give it a second thought (non-issue).
I my book that indentation would have to go completely across the outer edge to allow a path for more air flow and it's on the bottom backside thats going towards the rear to boot.
