Default Got out for a nice little Sunday cruise today! {HD Video}

There is still some gravel up here on the mountain roads, thank god for the full Expel, but I got out today to get a few more miles in on the new wheel and tire setup, Nice Sunday cruise...:

The Toyo R888s HOOK real nice in the rear, and the new R888Rs in the front handle VERY nice!!

Here's a little bit of the ride!

Looks like fun and the car moves out and sounds like a beast! I'm most susprised at the performance canyon etiquette observed by most of the other cars out there. Nice!

Awesome!! That would never happen to me here in Hawaii. In fact in most cases they slow down on purpose😬 Oh well what can you do👍

Is there ANYWHERE in Hawaii where a Z06 (or a Stingray) can be driven in anger?
As far as I can tell during my travels to the Islands, not really.
Way too much traffic IMO.

There is about a 10 mile stretch on the Windward side of Oahu on the freeway I can go full bore. Not that I have. Only half bore so far😜 I go one way down the freeway to check that none of Oahu's finest is around. Then I open her up going back👍

The Windward side of Oahu is the one area of the State I have not been to....just Honolulu area.

Been all around the other Islands.
The only area I have seen that has real potential is the road from Kona to Hilo, but only early in the morning before the tourists get going.

You are correct. Especially going from Kona to Waikaloa. And yes mornings are the best.

Do you live on Oahu or the Big Island?

Oahu. My job takes me to the other islands at least once a week. The other islands there would be no shot to open up a sports car. Maui has two stretches of road but they are main thoroughfares. Police are always there busting tourist.

As far as Maui goes, can you imagine a roadrace on the Hana Hwy.?
YOWZA, it would definitely become the most dangerous race in the world!

BTW, some Hana locals once told me they "go to town" at night when there are less tourists on the highway and can drive a lot faster.

You're very welcome, I do like the road, but there are others that have cleaner pavement...

Great video! I really enjoyed the ride. Looks like a great road if you can be alone on it.
