Mid-Engine Corvette could cure a lasting ill

My ex accused me of having a midlife crisis when I bought my Eldorado back in the 90s.
Nope, just wanted a Cadillac. *shrug*

I don't understand how a higher priced Corvette is going to appeal more to a younger buyer. Younger folks want something more affordable, I think that's why the base C7 is so appealing to younger folks that are affluent. It's a high performance sportscar for the same price as a four door Lexus or Cadillac. A higher priced Corvette will drive the average age of new buyer up, not down. This just doesn't compute.

I guess I went thru my mid life crisis when I was 21, when I bought my first Vette. Twenty Vettes later still going thru the mid life crisis at sixty nine.

This car goes mid-engine I'm out.
I'm not looking for the reinvention of this car. I'm fine with body/design enhancements but this complete metamorphosis is not what I want from gm. Give it a new name. Chevrolet Zora or something. But mid-engine a "corvette" will never be.

They ALWAYS say "I wish I could afford one."
Anyone who says younger guys wouldn't buy a Vette if they could need to get a clue.
