Default We Have New Mid-Engine Corvette Renders

The latest spy shots have given us a pretty good idea of the general proportions and shape of the upcoming mid-engine Corvette, so we asked our render artist to start waving his magic pen to create the images you see here.

Hmmm I hope they are wrong... Looks bland and well sort of ugly.

If you want a Ferrari or Lamborghini then go buy a Ferrari or Lamborghini, don't mess up the Corvette.

I like the exhaust pipes split up.

This I would say will be close to what the real car will look like. This is a sensible design one that you would expect of a mass produced car. Good Job.

Looks like a 2008 Gallardo with a upside down 2008 F430 front bumper and Lincoln tail lights. No thanks. Ugly.

Hope not! It does not look exotic enough! If it was the base models then maybe I guess. But IMO GM needs to lose the huge flat drop rear-ends they've been addicted to for the past-present generations. They seem to think painting it black will somehow make it look okay. They should do a more tapered look IMO and have a monotone paint scheme or at least up to a small height rear diffuser.

IMHO It's clean and elegant. Price it right and I'll give it a whirl...

I love it like I did with the C7 when it came out. Rendering didn't do the C7 justice until I saw the real version. Put me on the list for it, keeping the price within reason.

does anyone really think they are just going to stick a c7 rear bumper on the ME car? This is laughable. The front fenders and front bumper are nice though. The side view screams McLaren...cheap McLaren but McLaren nevertheless.

The render is pretty close.
The front bumper will look similar to the rendering ie it will look like the new ZR1 front bumper with all the extra vents.
The headlights will be the same as current c7
The rear top part will be very close to the current c7.
The rear bottom valence hopefully will be different than the render.
The front hood will be ferrariesque. Either it will have 2 openings like the hood of the 488 or the single opening like the 458 special.
The side vents will be pretty close.
The door will be much closer to the front wheels.
It is going to be one sexy car except for all who believe a vette should be front engined.

I really hope Corvette honors its own racing history in the design.

We've had great looking race cars from the 60s Grand Sports to the GTP, C5R, C6R, C7R, and Daytona Prototype.

The DP is a beauty.

They should use the DP front w different headlights, put lower sills on side, friendlier doors, a bigger sexy side intake & the back end is good w C7 ish tail lights

Corvette went to a lot of trouble to design the DP & it's a winner so capitalize on that

With a little work on the rear quarters, rear fascia, and lights I think it will look good.

Rear view should look like this. Bigger bumper & smaller diffuser for street, optional wing

Needs big side intakes behind doors & a few tweaks here & there to be road worthy

From this angle I'd modernize the front grill & headlights. Make the cockpit wider, make wing optional and that's it, she's ready to street.
