HRE Wheels imagines a nice-looking car, but does it even look like a Corvette?

The #3 C7R just beat 3 Ford GTs in a 12 hour endurance race at Serbring this weekend. Pretty big news for Corvette fans...why is it so hard for the moderators here to support the Corvette teams?

Of all the 'renderings' floating around, this one looks the best. The others just seem to be C7's stretched and manipulated to accommodate a mid engine.

Bottom line.... those that know aren't talkin' and those that are talkin', don't know.

Cool. I'm not an engineer but how do the doors open. Other than that I like it.

Not feeling it! Looks slightly outdated and proportions are not right.

However, HRE does make some beautiful wheels!!

The rims are nice.....but my preference will be CCWs 505s.....the car as a whole.....I like 90% of it.....who wouldn't drive her ?......Zappa

Pretty cool, but I think it looks a bit out of proportion from the B pillar back.

I would like to see some more pictures with different angles of the car. Specifically some with the front end.

That brand new S201H that they used for this photo is simply incredible.

It's a beautiful design.

The 2016 Ford GT is far more radical though

This a real mid engine concept car built by Aria. It is by far a rendering. Search "Aria Corvette" online and you read all about it. BTW, HRE wheels are beautiful too.

I really hope the mid-engine has some non-conventional opening doors!

the rear edge of the door is the line that is clearly visible, the bottom edge goes all the way to the bottom of what is normally the rocker panel, the front edge goes to the wheel well opening up the middle of the front fender where you can see an angled line and then follows the door window edge. it is big and either a gull wing or a 45 degree angle opening halfway between straight up and straight forward.

i'd like to add that this is to my taste a very nice looking design.

"HRE Wheels imagines a nice-looking car, but does it even look like a Corvette?"

i see a lot of subdued, modern looking mako shark design aspects.
