The original ZR1 engine was designed by Lotus (with GM requirement to keep 4.4" bore spacing) and manufactured by Mercury Marine. Not quite the same.

This issue isn't making the power NA, it's doing so while meeting emissions, NVH, and fuel economy standards that GM has to abide by that aftermarket engines don't.
