Default Something Big Cometh this Way

Some of you will remember my Caravaggio C5 Widebody.

We finally started her up last night. New fully forged LS7 motor started up w/o issues and seemed to purr like a kitten. Once I sat in her, and heard her run, I realized how much I loved this car, even more than my C6 Z06.

Well, it's going to get it's proper tune tonight, and hopefully be able to drive it out of the shop. Wish me luck.

Few pics from a week ago. Post up some current ones once I give it a good wash and have it at home.

p.s. (My C6 Z06's for sale).

Love to, but I'm either going to get my ZR-1 soon, if not, may even consider building a GTM.

Too many toys, and not enough garage space!

Hey Tony, good luck on whatever you decide to keep. I actually never did get to see your C5 widebody in person, always wanted to. It will be much more rare than your C6Z, but I love that one too, you can't go wrong with either!!

I thought u sold this car, well i would love to see in person too, when u posted this up for sale a while ago, i was drooling looking at pics, all your car tony have great high $ unique setups, i like all of em, well i dont think anyone wont like anyway.

This one looks more unique and sleeker than your C6Z06 which too looks great, but this one rocks compared to your C6, wish u keep both of em.

Haven't even got a call to choose my options.

Guess they're going to make as much as they can with the ones their getting in and sell them for above MSRP.

Got a good mind to go there and get my deposit back. If anyone's willing to buy my spot, let me know before I give it up.

Buy your spot? Do you mean pay you the exact amount you put down on the order, if so, is it guaranteed to be sold at MSRP?

As much as I admire the C6 Z06's, I would much rather have your widebody C5 anyday. I think you made the right choice. I would also forget about the ZR-1 and build the GTM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TONY,

You'll miss the c6z. But, I always enjoyed your c5wide-body.

Having one at a time is the way to go.

Do we get to see the new-new c5 soon ?

Even thought the kit is resonable, the kit also takes quite a bit of work to assemble. Panels need alot of work to get them to fit right. Car will take a shop about 6 months to put one together, and that's with no delays. Then you have about 10K worth of C5 parts that are needed to get one together, like suspension and brakes, and that's not including the motor and the Porsche transaxle.

Car all said and done will be north of 100K total. Great thing about it is, it uses a C5's suspension, brakes, wheels, motor and quite a few underpinnings. Actually, the whole driveline is Corvette other than the Porsche tranny. Makes it easy to maintain, find parts and to mod.

As soon as I sell my C6, I'm likely going to order a kit and get started, so help me out guy's, spread the word around on my C6Z. Even though I prefer the C5, If anyone's interested in it, I'd be willing to entertain offers. One of them has to go.

Your right, I will miss the C6Z, especially one as done up as mine.

But a GTM would be that much more .
