Hey guys,
I plan to buy an MGW shifter soon and was curious had any of us ordered directly from them and how much the shipping was?
Thanks!

Guys

I was trying to buy the MGW shifter all summer and found one that was new but never installed and was being re-sold by a CF member (I saved $25 off the MGW price). I doubt you will get a group buy on this item as some one tried an "MGW Group Buy" thread in the C6 For Sale folder - there were dozens of guys who posted - many of who were critizing the rest of the people for asking for a discount on what is considered already a very low priced item at $250 (MGW shipping is $25 anywhere in the US BTW). Through all of these posts the MGW people were silent, so I am guessing they are not interested in discounting this item from the $250.

Word of caution on buying these used - earlier versions of the shifter were known to "buzz" or vibrate in some cars - not all but some. MGW recently developed a "new" version that is buzz free - so if you are buying used you want to ensure it is THE most recent version.

Also will add....install the C6Z shifter and save your money unless you plan on banging the gears for racing.

Did someone say racing?

I was just reading on the mgw site and ground shipping is $10 per shippment NOT per item or $25 two day air, again per shipment NOT per item.
So it seems there is a slight savings to be had by ordering together.

Ordered mine direct from MGW. I think it's the only way to get one.
They ship U.S. postal so shipping and customs is cheap

The C6Z06 shifter is not fantastic. A lot of C6Z owners change to the MGw.....

When I ordered mine it was $199 + $40 for the shift **** and no shipping. If the website says $10 for shipping it'll probably be $10.

Ya possibly ( I have my doubts though).
It just says "Lower 48 states" on the page.

Geeze, Is it so hard is it to pick up the phone and call or send an email to the comany to find out that you are incapable of doing so??

If I recall correctly, when I ordered mine the deal was no shipping charges to the lower 48 and when I emailed and asked I got the response it will be USPS and no charge.

So, instead of posting here 3 or 4 times trying to figure it out just send them an email.

The group buy to save shipping will only work if the shipment arrives in an area where everyone is within driving distance.

Peter

The stock C6Z shifter is very sloppy. The sweet setup is MGW and C6 shifter box.

Extremely lazy it appears. Nobody knows exactly and you don't seem to believe the ones that answered anyways.

If you read the website, right near the checkout it says to call or email for shipping prices outside the lower 48.

I'll also add that MGW has great service because my questions were answered right away and the same day several shifters were shipped out....they're waiting for CBI to open on Monday. And sorry, they are all spoken for.
