2000 MN6 - A&A SC Installed
Thought I'd share my latest and biggest mod, an A&A Supercharger with a
3.8" pulley...My goal was to maintain stock like drivablity with gobs of power available when desired....I enlisted the help of a very good friend to help with the install. (He ended up doing more than he bargained for lol) Maybe you can spot his "Nasty" mug in a few of the pics...
The build also included beefing up the stock valvetrain and a baby cam...
Parts list:
Comp cam 224/228 114 LSA
Yella Terra Rockers
Comp Molly Pushrods
TEA Dual Valve Springs
Kaytec Timing Chain
Summit SFI Pulley
Melling oil pump
A&A kit
Valvetrain components
What I started with...
Thats one "Nasty" looking helper!!
No turning back now....
Yella Terras in....
Beautiful Head Unit
Intercooler lurking below..
Rad neatly trimmed and Head Unit installed
Install Complete!!
Still needs some cleanup & detailing...
and here's what it sounds like with stock injectors and no tune!
I'd like to thank Manny for his dedication to getting the install just right and his numerous trips to my place..(although it cost me a fortune to feed him, and I think the food was the real reason he was so willing to come to Richmond Hill) I'm going absolutely crazy waiting for the spring to arrive so I can get the tune/dyno done and start enjoying it!!

You'll love it Daniel, no comparison to any other mod.
Here is Gus's car we did a few years ago-same combo as yours with the addition of a meth it.
And with a few more additions last season Gus almost made 700 rwhp on the stock shortblock!
You can't get that sort of power out of a big stroker while still being streetable!

Thanks for the compliments everyone... besides the tune, I need to have my new hood painted.. Hope to get it done for the GTG this spring..
Sami, I hope everything works out for you as well and you finally get your Z build done..
Lucien, let me know when you're in town and we'll meet up.
Jack, I couldn't possibly let you be the only family member being blown on a regular basis...!! lol...

Gus's drivetrain lasted 2 season until he "dead hooked" at the track-after that is what we call "catastrophic failure".
Good thing RPM sponsers my car so I hooked Gus up a level 5 tranny and built diff.
On street-I forsee lots of "fishtailing" in your future!

Mike... I called the same day we met up and that Z28 had sold a few weeks after I picked up the Shelby...Its better this way so I can concentrate with the Shelby restoration...Although picking up that Z would have been sweet....

Burning Brakes
Daniel, my set up is similar to yours with , cam, rockers, springs, except No blower yet and I am at 390 rwhp.
Hope to see those numbers soon. Oh yeah, like Sami said, start stockpiling those rear tires.

I noticed in your pic here that you have a "underdriven" balancer?
That's definitely not what you want with a blower "setup". What you really need is a "overdriven" balancer.
The balancer that you have pictured is going to lead to belt slip-since there is going to be less wrap on the crank pulley. And from my years of testing blower setups-the crank is the first place belt slip occurs.
Now if you try to offset that crank pulley with a smaller blower pulley-your going to introduce belt slip there as well. You'll need a "Flip Drive" to correct the problem-but your best bet is to just to ante up for the IW overdrive balancer-money in the bank in the long run.
It will take the blower forever to "spool up" with a underdrive pulley-the car will feel lazy.
