Nylon Stretch Bra mod for licence plate
Hi,
I recently purchased a nylon stretch bra for my C5 and looking at how to modify it so the front plate is visible.
Has anyone modified the new style of nylon stretch car bra's so the front licence plate is visible at all times without taking the bra on and off? Any pics or details would be helpful.
Thanks

Depending on where your plate is mounted.
If it is where GM puts it....good luck.
If it is in front of the Grill area you can use Wilf's idea or as I do just cover it up. I only use it when I cross the border. Never had a problem.

Put the bra on where you want it to fit.
Mark where the plate mounting screws are.
I burned a very small hole through the bra with a soldering iron.Remove bra.
Attached a small piece of self stick velcro over the holes on the inside of the bra.(I can supply the velcro pieces) the grommets need something to bite on,as the bra is too thin for the grommets alone.U can use anything for backing material, but I found the self adhesive velcro works very well.
Punched a hole thru the velcro pieces.
Picked up a grommet tool kit from Michaels Arts & crafts store.Cheap.
Inserted the 2 piece brass grommets over the hole & attached as per instructions using a small hammer & the grommet tools.
I'd give you my grommet kit,but some one else borrowed it.
Install bra.
Install licence plate.
If I can be of any help ,let me know.
This is about a 15-20 minute project.
Pics are thumbnails.U can enlarge them
