Default Anyone found WHITE DRL LED"s (which flash amber?)

Apparently the Switchback LEDs and other systems are only white when the headlights are on as well, they are amber when the headlights are not on. I would really like to have DRL's that are white during the day but flash amber. Has anyone had luck with a canadian car doing this?

I doubt it's possible. The DRL & turn share the same power lead so how would the bulb know it should be amber vs white?

Well I am not an expert on this, but I hope you could build a LED stalk with an integrated circuit. As long as the power is steady the white LED's are on, when the power starts to pulse for the flashing, the IC switches the White's off and reroutes the flashing power to the ambers. Once the flashing stops for X amount of time, it switches it over to the whites?

You could I suppose, but no-one seems to do it.

They'd have to be amber for say 2 seconds every time they turn on then switch to white after.

So apparently they do exist, but the 60LED versions seems to burn out quickly because the alternator current is so high on most Corvettes. You can put a load resistor in-between to protect the LED but apparently no one sells a package deal.
However I think I have found a solution that I will enjoy

It is unique and satisfies all the requests I have.

Not sure I understand. Your link is a kit with white halo rings.

How would the current that the alternator puts out affect a lighting load? Charge voltage maybe but it should be around 14v (normally 13.8v) or the battery won't like it either. The C6 alt is either a 110a or 145a as far as I know which isn't all that high, more like a regular car alternator.

I just bought a set of Switch back bulbs from corvettemods.com... Had the same bulbs on my 10' GT500 and they worked amazing well once I put the resistors in cause it made my taillights go nuts without it...

The fast flash you see with LED bulbs is because there isn't enough load from them to make the flasher circuit see the bulbs as working. Fast flash is a bulb out indicator. The resistor adds load to the flasher so that it thinks there are filament bulbs there that are working. On the other hand if the LED bulb burns out you won't know without looking.

Ya but once I put the resistor in line the fast flash stopped and my sequential tail lights worked fine...
