New to you means it was new to someone else first. GM dealerships in the USA can only sell and register new vehicles to United States addresses with that particular states taxes paid etc...

Sorry for the confusion. If you have a home/Apt in the US then you are good to go.

Then why do many dealers on ebay happily offer to sell new to Canadians? Seen it often during my search with only issue being many rebates to not apply to us.

GM has an agreement in place that it is not allowed. If dealers are doing it they could lose their franchise. Which has happened before.

Dealers on ebay only indicate (mainly in error as it's likely clerical staff entering the ad) that they "sell to" north america or US/Canada but I have ALWAYS found when you call them they will never sell to us in CND!

That I knew MIke all along and only asked you the question because you posted in the CND section.( kind of implying you do!!) Personally I think that's the dumbest GM agreement rule ever........ but there are "possible" other ways to do it.......I did

I agree with you, especially Canada That seems like it would be a natural for US-Canada sales.
