C5 Transmission....
I think my transmission & clutch are stock to my 1999 Coupe. (6Spd)
What model tranny would it be - and anyone know if it can be bolted up to a V6 Camaro (LS)(2012)?
The stock transmission on my Camaro has such a tall first gear & useless second gear.
The Vette shifts like butter.

99 vette: Borg warner T56 M6 transmission. I cant answer to that Camaro V6 question though, best check on LS1tech V6 camaro forum section.
On my 01 Z06 its same as T56 tranny but M12...different gearing possibly like your Camaro, 1st and sec are useless in my Z06 and i hate that, if anytime my M12 is coming apart for rebuilt, that 1st, 2nd and 6th gear will be replacing the way i want.....

It won't be a direct replacement as in the output shaft, front cover/housing and rear housing might all need replacing. But then, it might not be possible to fit it at all. Checking with a Camaro forum probably is your best bet for a better answer.
