Its an iron 408 built my buddy at George at MGR performance locally here in montreal....I cant say enough about how much time he put into making sure everything was done properly not to mention porting and prepping the heads and of course picking of a great cam and the proper cam lobes ...George is the type of guy that takes real pride in his work and wont continue the build if he feels something is not going right...He wont put his name on junk!!!George great job...thx buddy
Tune and drive train removal and re install was done by Seth at Federal Performance again great shop and lots of attention to detail...Seth dialed in the car and it feels like a jet!! thx to him and the crew at Federal
Here are some detail
iron 408 with diamond pistons -28cc compression is 8.9 (so much for all those that warned me my compression is to low and the car would be soft down low.....oh well they were right ...car only made 730hp between 4000-4500rpm...clowns!!!
tfs 225 heads that flow over 340 cfm and lots of work on exhaust side and to aid oil drain back
.070 cometic head gasket (somebody told me not to use such a thick gasket because it would promote detonation and hurt my squish or squash) Really????
ysi at 21 psi 2.7 pulley and flip drive 8 inch innovator crank( no signs of slip yet)
23?/25? cam with some of the latest comp cam lobes
1.8 comp cam roller rockers... fully adjustable
short travel comp cam lifters
2 inch kooks headers 3 inch catless mid(great fit but melted all kinds of wires)
rpm level 6 a4 with coan 3600 stall ecs brace and torque tube tamer and ecs loops
3.42 gears as built as possible with 500m shafts and carbon clutch packs
1009 hp run was with no filter and a 10$ bell mouth from spectre (I think part number is 9605)
according to the plugs we still had lots of timing we could have added but Im worried my callies compstar rods are saying enough
pretty much that's it....now lets see if I can put this power down cause that's always another story last years best was 9.69@142...stay tuned

Sounds great Louis. It seems that we don't have to travel far to get things done right. Its a matter of finding the right people nearby. After meeting George it he seems like a great guy that knows his stuff, and you know I trust Seth on this stuff.
The car sounded like a beast and I didn't even see a full pull. Why the hell did you go with compstars if you have to worry about them already. Truth is they are probably just fine. I believe they should take that power with no problems.
Let me know if you are going to the track this weekend. I need to see that beast run, so that I know what I want when I grow up.

Since no one is updating this build thread I will throw out a few tidbits. George did a great job on the engine, and Seth put it together, ironed out the bugs, and is constantly updating tuning.
I know the car dynoed around 1000 RWHP, and ran a best of 9.11@@155. That my friends, its getting it done. On top of all this Louis drives the monster on the street with no issues.
I would add that this was run only after about 5 runs. The car is not even dialed in yet and shouldl see 8's before the season is done.

I think that is a canadian c5 record at least for a street class car with a ysi....crazy thing is the blower pipe blew off just before the end...for sure it cost me a couple of mph....car has a solid 8.6 pass in it

never seen that slip...since Arun car sadly doesn't exsist anymore I guess mine is the champ...but to be honest I don't see beating 8.80 to be a major undertaking considering I blew my intake pipe off just near the end...for sure cost me something.

Sounds like the "king" is perilously close to being dethroned!!
