Forget about razor blades and don't even go near the stripper unless it's the one at the local establishment...
Figure a grand for materials like paint and shop supplies. The rest is labour so cut down on that wherever you can. It cost me $2200 to have my wifes 78 painted but I probably spent about 100 hours on it myself before and after. It was boring mind numbing work but has no overspray and came out better than it came from the factory with.
Old school American Racing mags and some ghost flames out of the fender exits.

Peter @ CHAMPION MOTORS painted my car and it was by far the best paint job I have ever had on any of my vehicles.
Pete is a talented painter with meticulous habits as he oversees his prep guys as they carefully prepare customers cars for paint.
With an eye for detail each and every car comes out looking great!
Keep up the great work!

Thanks Dave...yes, completely original drivetrain...L78 375hp
Ironically, I nearly bought that car that you posted in 1999. It is actually a Bill Thomas car, not a Nickey as it is currently badged. I could have bought it for $35K and thought it was too much money...it's worth about $250K now!

Back in the late 70's early 80's ? a friend bought an original 67 Z28 Canadian car.
I had an "in" at GM and was able to get copies of bill of lading / shipping orders showing VIN number and all options, selling dealer, etc for Canadian delivered cars.
I always wonder where that car got to (if it still exists) and what it would be worth now

I've owned 9 '67 z-28's and have the GM docs on all of the Canadian cars. If you recall the options and selling dealer I might be able to tell you. If it was one of the white one's from BA motors, it may be for sale in Florida right now for $109k...

This one is an older resto with non-original motor...it's worth about $80k. 2 black CDN z's still exist...if your buddy was in Grimsby or Kitchener back then...the car survives!
