Has any imported a car with these new rules?

I'm looking to import a car mayself from the USA through Queenston/Lewiston next week, and have found the process has changed...big time!!

Any thoughts?.....we cannot fill out the proper documents as a Canadian.

I jjust missed having to use the new system so was interested enough to go through it. Are you sure we cannot fill out the documents? IIt seems that if you go here:

you can download the software to do it.

I emailed Lewiston, reply was....

You email us vin, make and model....no attachments. but as of Oct 2014 the new system will kick in...so old system for me.

I'll asks some questions about the new system that start up Oct 2014.

This is on the US Side from what I see and appears to simply replace the fax or email info to US Customs 72 hours in advance. It looks to be more Census type info that they are collecting.

That's unless I'm reading this all wrong.
