I don't think that floor is "carbide friendly"
Not that any floor covering would be, or cement for that matter.

I might be back in a sled this winter.....gotta be some new non current deals out there.

Actually, this floor is probably the most carbide-friendly floor there is. It's diamond plate, so all the carbide damage would be restricted to the very top of the peaks. Not that I'm a sled head -- I have the same flooring in my garage.

Downsides are that the floor might move around from the torque of the track, there's no way you could steer the sled on it, and all that diamond plate pattern gets in the way of small wheels (like floor jacks, tool boxes, and the rollers Mike has under his sled).

The floor looks really good, I may put some down next summer. My wife would love us to get into snowmobiling. I've been on one once and it was a blast. When we first moved to orangeville, students woukd drive them to school on days where it was snowing a lot but just not enough to cxl the busses.

The floor is rubber. Pretty sure the carbide would dig into it as soon as you drive on it. As for the track spitting it out, yep, Especially if studded.

My old sled cut some nice 1/4" or so "drainage" grooves in my garage concrete floor. Good thing the floor is crap to start with. I need to redo it someday. Just busting out the old cement is going to be a huge pita.
