Default 2014 Niagara Fall Colours Cruise, In Support of the Tim Horton Children's Foundation

Tim Horton Children's Foundation
2014 Charity Show, Shine & Cruise
OPEN To All Sport, Exotic & Tuner Automobiles
In Association with SGR

Date: Sunday, September 28th, 2014

Time: 9:00A - 10:00A

Meeting Location: 151 City Centre Drive Tim Hortons Parking Lot

Destination: Niagara Falls!

*** Bring your FRS Radio "Walkie-Talkie" so we can all keep in touch during the cruise! ***

Can you imagine a better way to spend the first fall weekend ... than cruising through the country side, as the leaves change to brilliant autumn colours ... with a special passenger by your side? Plus, you'll be helping to send children on the Camping Experience of a Life Time! Join us for the Tim Horton Children's Foundation Camp Day Show, Shine and Cruise!

Anna He of "Sweetie Girl Racing" SGR is again partnering their annual charity cruise with our THCF Team! So this year, our cruise will again include some exciting new car brands and drivers! All cruising for a good cause.

We'll meet up at the large parking lot on the south side of Square One Shopping mall, just west of the City Centre Tim Hortons. As usual, our registration area will be staffed by Tim Hortons Camp Day Volunteers, offering snacks and beverages during the event ... gifts for participants, prizes and Silent Auction Items for our Charity Event.

SGR will be planning a fun cruise to the Niagara Region, with a special lunch destination ... then you can enjoy the afternoon by checking out a nice winery or two ... or visit one of the many tourist locations in Niagara.

About the Tim Horton Children's Foundation Charity:

The Tim Horton Children's Foundation was established in 1974 by Ron Joyce, Co-Founder of the Tim Hortons chain, to honour Tim Horton's love for children and his desire to help those less fortunate.

The Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing a fun-filled camp environment for children from economically disadvantaged homes. Year-round, local children are selected from each of the communities in which a Tim Hortons store operates, giving thousands of children the opportunity to attend one of our camps.

Children living in economically disadvantaged homes often do not have access to supports that develop positive life skills. With 1 in 6 children across Canada and the United States living in an economically disadvantaged home* , the Tim Horton Children's Foundation provides opportunities for these children to develop into positive, contributing members of their communities. The Tim Horton Children's Foundation camp experience is designed to give children confidence in their abilities through participation in challenging programs. They experience pride in their accomplishments as they succeed in attaining their goals, and they gain a positive view of this world and their future in it.

This year the Foundation will serve close to 17,000 children from economically disadvantaged homes. Together we are truly making a difference.

I'm free that day, but a little puzzled by this..

The posting mentions Camp Day and Fathers day, both long gone, and SGR racing shows the date as Sunday June 15th..

So what exactly is happening on the 29th ? Is it just a cruise ?

Thanks

-Stephen

It's a cruise to Niagara Falls in support of the Tim Horton's Foundation.

The original cruise was on June 15th, Stephen, to the Tim Hortons Camp, but as it was Father's Day, not a lot of people could show up for it. So Mark is reposting the cruise for Sunday Sept 28 to Niagara Falls. Unfortuantely, the camp is not available for that day, hence the cruise to Niagara Falls.

We have a couple of fantastic Silent Auction prizes donated so far! Thanks to Granite Ridge... they have donate a foursome package for golf!

Second Silent Auction prize... APEX Driving School has donated a full day at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Mosport) ... winning bidder will have access to their instructors and classroom sessions!

Hopefully we'll have a few more prizes roll in during the week.

Mark
