The Get Well Alex Webers Hamburgers + Gravenhurst Buttertarts Fall Cruise '14 Thread
Thought I would create a new post so everyone can post pics here.
What a great turn it today. 40 cars when we left the CanTire Gas Bar, 6 joined up along the way and 5 more pulled into Webers with us for a total of 51 cars. And except for the bit of rain between Barrie and Orillia, it was a clear day.
23 of us continued on to Gravenhurst via Southwood Road. Man that is a fun road.
Just want to thank everyone for coming out in support of Alex. Mike will be posting the numbers shortly, but I think we hit $1K. Well done everyone. It will go along way to help out Alex's parents while they are staying at the hospital.
Also want to thank Mike and Diane Macquire for donating prizes from Lucas Oil and Corvette Central and all the proceeds to the Get Well Alex Fund, and congrats to all those winners.
Ok peeps. Put up all those pictures.

Two extremes Stan. Without a doubt the dirtiest the car has ever been and the most fun I have ever had with it. What a great run even if for me it was only Weber's north.
Hope you did well for Alex. Thanks for the donated prizes, very generous in support of Alex.
Great day.
Well done Stan.

Pics coming soon but here's an update on what we raised:
1. From the hat that Randy passed around at the first meet spot - $730
2. From the donation/draw box at Webbers - $376.70
3. For a grand total of $1,106.70
Corvette Forum members ROCK Thank you everyone for your generosity. Stan and I will be at Sunnybrook tomorrow morning at 11:00 am to see how Alex and his folks are, and we'll pass the envelope to them. I also stopped at Staples and had a few group shot prints done. That, and a Jake poster I'm taking with me, should brighten up Alex's room!
Thanks again everyone for your time and donations and for coming out. Specials thanks to Stan and urgone - Mike Maguire and wife Diane for the generous draw items from Lucas and Corvette Central.

That was the most fun I had on a cruise all year. It was great to see so many peeps turn out for this cruise.
Thank you all who donated to the hat for Alex.
Hope we can get a mini run in before the cars go sleepy.

Great Day yesterday!
Thanks to Stan, Mike J. & Mike from Lucas oil. And everyone who donated and participated in this fantastic event. Well Done!
It makes me feel proud to be friends with and associated with, such a great group of people.
Good people rallying together for one of our own, who is in need.
Get Well Alex!!, I hope the donations & pictures from today will give you some encouragement and fight to speed up your recovery!

My wife and I grabbed an extra two buttertarts and enjoyed them this morning! They taste even better warmed up in the microwave, and it's much easier eating them at home on a plate with a fork or a spoon

That's because when my wife and I scooted ahead of the group (unfortunately missing the twisty road portion, as I didn't realize that was going to happen) we warned the owner that there would be a giant group of hungry Corvette owners who wanted buttertarts! Her daughter was just about to leave for the day but then after we warned her, she sent her back to work in the kitchen
