Modded ti exhaust results
my heads/cam C5 was getting way too loud after the last round of mods, couldn't hear the stereo, carry on a conversation, would rattle the door panels with a blip of the gas pedal, and even though I really liked the "loud" I had to quiet it down to please "the other"....
picked up a set of TIs, found a few good fabricators experienced with titanium welding but had never done this mod before including my own shop, so instead of baybsitting them and letting them learn on mine I hooked up with Manny who of course has done a pile of them.... workmanship looks good as factory or better btw....
car is way quieter now - almost too quiet for me, but no drone or vibration inside anymore at any speed (up to the posted limits of course) but apparently still good and loud and really barks and screams when you put the hammer down....
just a bit of useless info for those of you thinking about it and looking for an alternative I think it's a good move....

I've also been contemplating this mod as my GHL's have become louder than I'd like ( since S/C ) but I dont want waste time/money only to realize that the Ti's are too "stock" sounding. I have a mint set of Ti's just waitng to get modded but I would like to hear a similar set up first.

Manny did the ti-mod on my stock powered c5z. I've had it for roughly 1.5 years now... And I still love it. Ive grown tired of a lot of aftermarket exhaust 'droning'.
It's definitely louder at idle, with great bark at high rpms and some burble on down shifts.
I can't wait until I get a set of LT's, xpipe, cam and intake.

Dan, glad to hear you did it over there at manny, i told ya you will like, i had to be honest i still do love Ti mod and hesitant to swap with non modded Ti muflers, as it still entertaining me and hard to justify to swap over stock Ti's.
Daniel : just do it bud you wont regret it, i am way busy however you are most welcome to come by my home and we take it for a spin in street as i dont have insurance on it anymore, so you can see how it sounds. our cars are very similer in power wise and Cams we have so it will be close to what it sounds on yours after the Ti mod......or just go over to manny and let them do it while you wait, without testing mine or Dan's. you will like it 100% i guarantee you.

Turns out they're not bad, put a few clicks on yesterday and today, a bit of highway and a bit of city....not too loud inside the car, no drone at all, was told they're still pretty loud outside as my son and his buddy were following me in his C3 383 stroker with the supercharger on it..... Could hear me fine back there he says...
Kinda likin the bypass mod, I think I'll get used to it just fine.... I can now hear my stereo a bit and carry on a conversation plus the door panels don't rattle now when I rev it up....
If I decide I miss the noise then I'll do the electric quickie dump mod..
