Regardless, WN sells MSRP (last I was informed); Sherwood adds just a small (meant amusingly) premium on their cars. On a recent Z06 notification, I sent a person to Sherwood who is sincerely looking for a Z06, he called me back stating their premium made things unfeasible.

They (WN) do not sell US imports; I believe the one available at Sherwood is a US import if my last notification with them was correct. If that is right, there are different considerations for each.

1. US imports are subject to a 12K mile warranty exclusion which, well at least to me, is the most important time in a cars lifecycle;
2. a US purchase also calculates current exchange on the US price which then brings it well above Canadian pricing, this also being valid for each thing you add on to that vehicle. Return is then subject to Canadian tax AFTER that exchange rate, in addition to import fees.
3. Transport fees must also be calculated into the price which, really, is a dual process as the price already includes the US 995 destination.
4. US Gas Guzzler is $1300 plus exchange PLUS taxes when the vehicle is brought in this way.
Fact of life, a US purchase (IMO) is feasible but only without exorbitant premiums also tacked to the price.
Also, since you are providing contact info for Sherwood WHO SELLS US MODELS, get them to explain how they are bringing in US models as it seems to escape your grasp eheh. US cars CANNOT be sold as new in Canada and are sold as used with only the original new mileage on them. That is how this occurs and it is a loophole in the process that GM can only try to affect by the above warranty consideration.

Nobody knows if they got a lemon brand new or not. If you follow these forums in the past few years, take a poll to see how many would have not purchased their vehicles with a 12K mile exclusion...
I dont know of any US dealer selling a Z06 under MSRP. link please!
Last but not least, when you purchased in 2011, we were dollar for dollar much of the year. Today we are at a horrid exchange rate which is 13 cents on the dollar with the Bank of Canada only. You, I or the guy down the street can also add further adm fees to that rate. So let's say we can escape with 15 cents on the dollar... On 100K, if you can get a US Z06 at that after everything before exchange, add another 15K exchange and then calculate HST.
How are we making out so far?

You can't go wrong with your car. My thoughts on the best deal though...
To me, the few who get the Canadian version of the new Z06 at MSRP and being allowed to use such discounts as Military credit and discount coupons will have gotten the best deal possible. Considering exchange, this car is still well below even US pricing which is well more than we could have asked for.
I hate to say it but it is a huge win win for GM to see the US models being sold in Canada and saving on that initial warranty period. Why would they stop it? This may completely eliminate any potential for a late allocation, especially when we see a single dealership capable of bringing in double digit US models, creating a very realistic concern on what demand may remain.
As well, I believe GM never calculated for the worldwide response in this car as they are now seeing availability requests in countries they never expected. The price is definitely going up with the success of this Z06 at some point IMO. This release may truly reach into the world class realm for GM which could open some great doors.
Let's face it....GM reached well beyond the benefits of the engine, tranny and convertible when envisioning this car; every aspect of it represents something one would never expect to find in a 100k price tag. They are testing the waters with this price IMO...it's going up and I am glad I am locked in...

Suckers will fall for that crap and leave them a deposit.......and lately with what seems to be a let-down of a vehicle, you'll see them more available than you thought.

Congrats to the new owners of the Z06s at WN!
Does anybody know which body package they have (Stage I, II, III, Z07)?
What is the MSRP?
(More curious than anything else.....those are out of my price range for now. HAHAHAHA!)
By the way, Merry Christmas to all!

With a "STATUS" card, you are able to avoid the 7% federal tax by taking delivery at any reserve. If you want to avoid the provincial tax, you need to take delivery at the reserve designated as your home location. Err, either that or the other way around, I can't remember, I haven't done one for some time.. ;-)

Let down of a vehicle? You're kidding right? I don't think too many people would be disappointed with the new Z unless they are coming from a Bugatti Veyron or something like that! The new Z is crazy fast for a fraction of an exotic car price tag.

Why did you even bother responding to him? A quick post check shows he has been trolling several threads writing nothing but negative about the Z06. Always easy to find justification for things you can't get...

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
That heat soak/ECU issue will be fixed and it WILL be faster than both the ZR1 and C6 Z06. GUARANTEED. The next gen is pretty much always faster than the last (Besides the gas crisis, leaded/non-leaded years)
