9*C and no salt
It was a perfect day for a spin, can't believe the weather that we have been getting. Unfortunately, didn't see any other Vettes on the road today. Anybody else get theirs out today?

I was out for a short run - but also did not see any other Vettes.
But this is not unusual - as most are tucked away till Spring.
I saw a few Porsches - but then who would ever treat one of those special?

I had the same idea but took her across the prior weekend - there was absolutely no waiting at the border crossing either direction that day

You wouldn't belief it but I saw a F40 Ferrari going through Woodstock last week it was absolutely filthy. After the snow we had a few weeks ago I finally parked the Vette although I am still driving the bike.

I was disappointed to see crap loads of salt on the roads upon my return from a week's vacation. I was checking the weather while I was gone and it didn't snow here, so why did they lay down so much damn salt??

Looks like a lot of rain though
I'm hoping they didn't salt the roads here last night (we got some light flurries so you never know!) as I want to take mine out for a spin today. The roads looked pretty salt free here by the end of the day yesterday. I have been able to take my Corvette out for a spin at least once every two weeks this fall/winter season so I'm hoping that trend continues for a while. I've been topping up the tank with fresh gas every other time I take it out, so that helps a lot (and lessens the need for adding Stabil!)

I think the guy who drives the salt truck must be reading this thread and is torturing me, because this morning I looked outside and saw the truck stopped right in front of my house, and then he started up the salting mechanism and waited a few seconds before moving, so it dumped a nice pile right at the end of my driveway! And to make matters worse, he came by a few minutes later and did the entire street again, so it's completely covered in salt now! I really don't even understand why they are salting the roads here today, they were already completely dry, we got the tiniest amount of flurries and the roads were not even close to being unsafe if they left things alone. It's ridiculous!! Now I have to wait until the rains come this weekend, and hope the roads dry up nicely so that I can take the Corvette for a drive on Sunday.
