I don't know how you guys do it!

I am exaggerating when I say "drive it like stolen" - cause I don't speed around like crazy. But I don't spare the horses either.
And its hard not to spin that summer rubber - in below freezing temps.

Most of you guys are lucky enough to be able to take it out here and there during the winter months. Not so lucky out west. I put my Z06 away 2nd week of October and it will not see pavement until the start of May
I usually wash it on New Years day to help pass the time

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
I have been up to your neck of the woods in my C6 during summer time, the drives up there are breathtaking so I guess your summers make up for the winters

Took the car for a spin today. 404 north to Queensville and back. Added another 70km to the car. I'm glad I don't store the car in the winter, and that, even though it's frigid, there's little precip on the roads.

I don't take the insurance off mine, but I couldn't possibly bring it out right now, the car is spotless and I can't stand the thought of getting salt on it. That stuff just gets everywhere and messes things up (especially in a nice clean engine bay and all those little nooks and crannies that are hard to clean) So I'm going to have to wait until after the next good rainfall to get my fix.

When I drove my C5 in the winter, it was because I had no other choice, I really didn't want to do it, but my financial situation forced me to do it. I only had two parking spaces in my townhouse, and not enough money for a third car, so I had the choice of either getting a Corvette and driving it in the winter, or not having one at all. I convinced myself that winter driving in a Corvette was possible, but in reality it wasn't very much fun at all. All that road salt really did a number on the paint on the front end, and the engine bay and the underneath of the car definitely suffered. The car looked pretty good from ten feet away, it still looked like new when I traded it for my C6, however up close was a different story. I'm just glad I never have to go back to those dark days again, life is much better now

I know a fellow member that took 7 years to do a body off restoration on there Vette, Imagine not being able to drive your Vette for 7 years, that makes one winter seem like a cakewalk.
How many more days corrado?

Well, things are looking up for spring. We, in the north, have had a few nights of "-30 something" and the block on my car hasn't froze and busted yet. This is the first year of unheated storage.
Bahhh......April is a cakewalk from here on out.

This is my first winter with the car and I am REALLY having a hard time not being able to drive it.
I've been dealing with it by working out all of the things I'm going to do with it in the Spring... I've got most of that nailed down but it's only January 8th!
The other day I even went down and uncovered it and sat in it for an hour making motor noises...
Anybody got any helpful hints to get me through the rest of the Winter?

I feel like I should start offering rides in ICEDCAPP just to help some of you guys make it through the long winter

My C4 and C5 have winter tires. I drive the c4 when there is too much snow and salt on the road and the C5 on good days. I have plasti dip on C5 to help protecting the paint. I take time to wash it mostly under the car with the pressure washer when I come back home. I know it is not the best, but it is fun. Wife has an AWD suv and we take the vette when we go out....
