Default RIP : Don (Captain Corvette) Leach - long time CCO member

Sad news, once again, for old time Toronto area Corvette folks.

Don (Captain Corvette) Leach passed away unexpectedly on Sunday February 8th in the comfort of his home.

Funeral service will be quite small and for family only.

The family is arranging a special celebration gathering for Don's Corvette family and friends - tentatively set for March 1st.
Details to follow.

Don was always "there", participating in whatever event his CCO Corvette "family" organized.

He never caused any great fuss or commotion, always upbeat and happy just to be part of the Corvette scene.

Don dealt with some big challenges in his life and never asked for sympathy - he just rolled on.

We will miss you Captain !

Default It Seems Like Yesterday........

Well said, Jerry.

Haven't seen The Captain in many, many years but have many fond memories. He was a unique character.

I imagine that he and Big Daddy will be catching up.

Will raise a glass tonight to distant friends.

Regards, Tom and Mary Lou

Sorry to hear about Don's passing. I don't think I ever met him, but feel the Corvette Connection.

Rest in Peace Don.

Thank you Tom !

We are starting to lose our old compatriots and it saddens me that I will never see those people again

We try to get to any "old gang" get togethers as much as we can.

Capital Corvette Club (Wendy) are having their 40th anniversary celebration weekend June 13th.
We went to the 35th - it was a good time !
Unfortunately we have a wedding, that my wife won't forego, this time.

Hopefully you and Mary Lou are doing well.

Best regards,
Jerry

I've never met or knew of Don, but he seemed like a really nice guy.

May he rest in peace.
