GTA Dealers for C7 Z51 OIL CHANGE
first oil change due.
I have read that some dealers do not do a very good job.
Any experiences and recommendations?

don't take it to the dealer. either do it yourself and save the receipts in your glove box, or take it to a corvette specialty shop like Champion and keep the receipt. reason for keeping the receipt is so they don't void your warranty by saying you didn't keep up with the required maintenance.
I have a 2012 Chevy Equinox with 102,000km and I haven't been to the dealer once. I do all my oil changes myself. I worked at Acura of North Toronto and Yonge Steeles Ford Lincoln about 10 years ago and I know the stuff that goes on by dealer mechanics to nice cars.

I understand this situation all too well. I picked up a used C6 from a dealership in Ottawa last fall. Just trying to find a local dealer to do oil changes has been harder than I thought.
I wish I had something I could offer you in terms of a dealership but I can't. I'll be going to Dasilva for my maintenance needs this year. But I will continue to search for a dealership for things like the headlight recall.
Even dealerships I've used for years seem to change their tone as soon as you mention it's a Corvette.
Dealerships I've tried so far
Addison on Eglinton -- possible but not yet. My initial contact with them was very poor.
Applewood Chevrolet -- No. They are always "slammed" as soon as I say its a Corvette.
Gateway Chevrolet -- Too busy to take my money. Actually told me to go elsewhere.

My choice:
Humberview, Courtesy, Dean Meyers, my favorite Mr. Lube (original location 427/Dundas).

Penzoil or now Jiffy Lube in Richmond Hill. At least they let me inspect under the car and my Durango.
Have used them in the past. They just changed my headlight fluid not 2 weeks ago. Great service.

Fact is I enjoy doing as much myself (the basics) whenever/wherever possible. Right or wrong, I prefer to blame own ignorance (hey, I'm not a mechanic) rather than someone who should know better but just didn't care. In the big picture I find I do save time & expense too.
Although it's been a while since I owned a new/in-warranty car, when I did, I always believed in maintaining good relationships with a caring service tech. This included finding out what he liked, drank, smokes, watches, etc. and leaving something in the car for him. Even a Tim's $10 gift card is appreciated!
Since regular maintenance is usually planned in advance, I'd make sure it was on the day HE recommended first, when he'd at his best and most available. Plan ahead!
From experience this approach can pay back not just in good mutual feelings (and who doesn't enjoy that) but fantastically with mutual loyalty alliance in receiving warranty attention. My car becomes HIS to maintain, identify issues and even preemptive servicing for next time.
Service is a two way street.

Good thread!
I factory ordered my '11 from Wilson Niblett - & have always been very pleased with their work.
But mine will soon will be 4 yrs old & with no extended warranty purchased - I am thinking of going somewhere closer.
I have heard the Champion name - but have never dropped by to see.
Any other suggestions?

Bring the vette by my place. We can do it together in 15 minutes tops. Im in Burlington. I seen Mobil 1 on sale somewhere in this weeks flyer. I have a solid parts link for a OEM oil filter at Hogan Chev incase you didn't want to use a Mobil 1 filter.

You would think any CHEVY dealer should be able to do a simple oil change on a Vette...
I once won a free oil change at a local Chevy dealer at a CORVETTE SHOW. When I took it there, they claimed they couldn't guarantee they wouldn't damage my car as it is low and has side skirts. My car is no lower and has the same style ground effects as a stock ZR1 from the factory, so don't know how a chevy dealer that services Vettes would not be properly setup.
So the OP's question is valid.
I have taken my Vette to Wilson Niblett and Eastside Chev and both are great. Usually get it done at Champion now.
