Are you referring to CBI if so see link below. I've used it and it's easy and friendly.

Yup, CBI Joe. There's other places too but CBI is probably the most used here. Great people there. VERY easy, just tell the shipper to ship it to them, but put Your name on it too. They charge $4.50 per box (I think).

When you get back to the border, tell them you picked something up. You may get lucky and not have to pay duty, but not worth the risk if you don't declare as your life will be MISERABLE every time you cross the border once they catch you not declaring goods. If you are in the US for more than 2 days (I think?) you can now have $400 worth per person without paying duties. So sometimes best to order while coming back from vacation.

CBI also now wants you to register on their website so you can be assigned a customer/box number. They have too many users to go by name alone. But it's still dead easy to do and there is no charge to register...

And it's in Niagara Falls NY, not Buffalo - just 5 minutes from the Rainbow Bridge...

$5.95 USD per Pkg at CBI. Debit card Available also.$4 Cdn or USD toll (doesn't matter which one) to cross back from USA to Canada.Like the previous posters said.Do not BS the Customs guys. As you pull up to the American kiosk, he can tell you how many times you've been across, along with the date & time. Ask me how I know.Taxes on the Cdn side are hit & miss. Sometimes you pay ,sometimes you don't.

Another option is www.kinek.com. They offer the same service. $5 per package. Great deal.

I've been using their service for years. Never an issue!

Good luck.

I've used CBI a few times, but mostly use UPS store #2194 on Niagara Falls Blvd, same price per pick up, a bit easier to get to, they always call my cell when my parts arrive, and they're open longer hours - later in the evening and later on Saturdays....but no big diff either way....

If you are getting something shipped UPS, you can have it shipped to the UPS depot (not a UPS store) and held there. There is one very near CBI (Packard Rd I think). The advantage is no charge for picking it up. The disadvantage is that they will only hold it for a few days. I've done this many times.

I was going across to ship two diecast cars ( 140 left to go) that I had sold in March 2015.
It cost about $20 dollars to ship UPS ground ,including insurance, from CBI vs $60 (without insurance) via Canada Post Theft Inc.I Told the U.S. Customs guy my reason for the trip.No issues. He asked,"When you crossed over on December 17th,2014,were you shipping or picking up ?"
Shipped UPS ground from CBI ,new owner received the pkg in two days.

A couple of other positives by doing this shipping this way.

So many of the vendors offer free shipping in the USA which you could take advantage of to probably pay for the gas to head over to (to, not over!) Niagara Falls.

The other advantage is customs clearance. UPS rips us off terribly and many US vendors will only ship that way. The other, if they do ship via USPS, is the stupid wait time at Canada Customs. I have had a package sitting in Customs now for over a week with no movement at all. Since I am not the shipper I cannot find a way to even make an inquiry. The Civil Service at work for us. Not.

48 hours is $800 Canadian. And yes they will convert from US if you get close enough to the limit. But then, it doesn't really seem to be 48 hours but rather 2 days, for example, your could go over Friday night and then come back anytime on Sunday.

They know when and why you cross. I tried getting across Friday and was too late by the time I got across the bridge so I just turned around and went back. Saturday I got dragged into the US customs office because they wanted to know why I was crossings twice for car parts within 24 hours.

One thing to add is "most" credit card companies will require you to call in and add the CBI address as a valid ship to address. If you do not have this the card will be denied when the US merchant goes to put through the sale.

I live in Niagara Canada and CBI is by far the best. They have just instituted a new policy where you need to register and put your number on the mailing package, or there is a possibility the shipper will not deliver if they recognize the address. I just picked up 2 bike tires there the other day and do about 5-6 articles a week to which I rarely get pulled in even being honest about what I am importing. I never lie as they would then flag you.

If I have larger items, I usually wait until this time of year when Seneca Casino sends their free room coupons. We have stayed their countless times without paying a penny and trust me when I say I am not a gambler....small time slots only.

Oh and yes...it is a real address that you put your name on and not a box number. Many companies will not ship to PO boxes.

I live on the Niagara Border also and am a vendor here. A lot of times I can beat or at least match your total cost, and save the hassle of driving over and dealing with customs. Also no worries about returns if you get wrong part. Let me know if you need anything and I'll give you a price. Also just posted a free shipping special until end of June!

I think it might be only 24 hours across and you can bring back $400 but I'm not 100% sure. It definitely pays to tell them everything though! I went across the border this morning for a few things and I told them exactly how much I spent ($70) and they let me go without paying any duty (probably because I didn't bring over tobacco or alcohol) I did the same thing last weekend with over $100 worth of stuff. In both cases I was only there for about 2-3 hours. Today when I came across they asked me a question I've never been asked before, and they said "are you bringing anything back that you had shipped to the US?" So they know that a lot of Canadians are using CBI and having stuff shipped there, so don't take any chances, declare EVERYTHING you bring back. It's not worth being blacklisted.

FYI,most of my purchases have been on my Visa Card (RBC) & have never been questioned about the address or credit card.
