Default My new ride...

...well, it's not a Vette, but it sure is great to be back in a pick up. Had them on and off my whole life.

You guys who have them know what I'm talking about, you sure miss not having one...

So far I've upgraded to 22's with 8 spoke chromes, an AFE CAI, MBRP cat back duals and a Bakflip G2 hard cover. Oh, and of course, red callipers and Zaino

nice rig. 5.3? SLE? I was actually looking at those with my father in law today. you definitely need a levelling kit, there is a lot of rake with these trucks.

CAI, MBRP cat back already done, tune is next...

13 mpg is days gone by, I could squeak 23 on the highway and 19-20 around town if I wanted...

Nice ride Mike. I like the silver. I'm not a chrome fan though.

If the step boards are anything like the ones I had on the Ford be careful in the freezing temps. The little rubber grips are OK in the warm temps. They freeze solid and become little blocks of frozen rubber in the winter. Many a time did I put my right foot on the board only to end up on my *** under the truck, soaked and sore.

How is the MBRP setup? Cat back system droned bad in my Ford. Swapped muflers a few times, never could get it better.

I could never go without a pickup

EDIT: Unrelated, can you tell me what the payoad rating is? Yellow sticker inside the drivers door jamb, or in the glovebox.

1900 #'s is the payload. Yes, having an issue with drone, not sure how they will fix it but they say they will. Plus I'm getting the V4 AFM tuned out.

Hey Mike, Im guessing your truck is an SLE? also is it the 5.3L? how many km on the truck and any issues with it (more concerned about vibration issues as reported on other forums, moreso at hwy speeds). whats your honest review on this truck?

2016 they are redesigning the front end and rear taillights. Looks sweet with the 22's

Beautiful rig - congrats! Picked up an SLT myself just a few weeks ago during GM's 20% off sale special. Emerald green with tan interior. One of the best vehicles I have ever purchased - period. Very impressed with it. Interior is amazing. So is the ride. Great towing capacity. And mileage beats my 3.5L SUV

Yes, a SLE with the 5.3. Love the truck, but it's seriously de-tuned and the stock transmission isn't super responsive. I've since had it tuned which made for a huge improvement.

As for the vibration issues, I've also had mine in for it. Tires were road force balanced, but it didn't solve the problem.

Forget the dealer, i had a new 2005 an pulled to the left, had it in 3 times, "it s all good now" not, the last time i took it in said some bs, can t remember, and decided that was enough, had to take time off work each time. go the manual out and found the GM Canada number, and called them, told the lady my story and how unhappy i was, she said she would look into it, 45 minutes later i get a call from the dealer asking me to bring my truck in, amazing, got it back and was all good. Dealers don t like to get calls from GM about unhappy customers, they knew all along what the issue was, something to do with the upper control arm, i could see the filings from drilling they did, but not sure exactly what. then it was all good
Call GM and lodge a complaint about the dealer service, i would bet the issue will be resolved the next visit.
