Melting Slicks
Great turnout last night. Nice smooth drive (for a change!) and I think Royal Meats turned out to be a great destination too.
Sure their speed bumps were an issue for the lowered cars and maybe the prices a bit more than those with lowered budgets but the service and quality were certainly there - for maybe 5 bucks more than I usually drop, quite worth the price, IMHO. It's a nice place we can sit together at, park safely and bring the SO's to. Thinking Royal's a little more safe and inclusive than say, Apache or Master Steaks and it's nice to mix it up once in a while!
Hope everyones' cruise afterwards was enjoyed!
I'm interested to also know what others who went thought about the route and destination.

Hi guys,
New corvette member here and looking forward to joining some of you at the next meet. I've been on the forum for about six months, reading posts, buying stuff, and laughing at some of the banter.
I know Yorkdale Mall for HDR Thursday's but what's this Royal Meats?
I would be interested in joining some other meets to, if my schedule(wife ) permits of course.
Cheers,
Mike

Hey Mike.
From Yorkdale Mall, at 10pm, we cruise to different destinations in and around the city. Last night we cruised to a somewhat classy burger joint in Etobicoke called Royal Meats on Kipling. We had a total of 19 cars cruising to Royal.
Sometimes we end up at Apache Burger on Dundas. Most times we end up downtown on Front St at a Pizza Nova, but we're avoiding the area due to the increased congestion introduced by the Pan Am Games.
Hope to see you out on an HDR sometime.
If not on the Corvette Forum, posts are also on the Facebook HDR Page.
