The Vette Community is the best. (Especially the guys in Southern Ontario)
About 12 or so years ago a bunch of the Form members helped me move my Dad out of his house in Lorne Park. .. i'll never forget the generosity.

Update:

Sorry I'm not much for conversation as the days have been long and I'm really tired.

Please help me out with this favour!

Hi Frank,

If you can confirm a date and time I might be able to make it!

Is the location in Brampton or Oakville?

harrin - I truly appreciate the offer, but we should be ok. Today I woke up at 5:15 am, and at 7:00 pm Erwin showed up after work and we worked till 11:00 pm. He's coming over again tomorrow and will be spending even more time with me than today. My favour was to get as many people as possible to show up at my dads place as I want to make a statement.

Patman - Thank you so much Pat, every person counts, just over 30 years ago, 8 Vettes showed up, I was hoping to double that.

doublec4 - I live in Brampton, so I'll be driving from my house in Brampton to my parents house in Oakville (between Dorval and Kerr Street). If members want to follow me to Oakville for a cruise that's fine, but my favour is to line up my parents street with Corvettes.

Most of my neighbours have never seen the Vette on the road as it's been stored in my garage for 26 years and I've lived there for 30. I'm actually getting a cheering section from my neighbours as they've stated they've never seen me so motivated to get this car on the road.

As for the date, I've made it my mission in life to get it road worthy by August 19th, then it's off to get an alignment done. Two factors will determine whether it's the 21st, 22nd or 23rd. First and foremost is weather (rain) second is which date brings the most members out.

The only thing at this point I can see that will stop this event from happening is the motor. The last time it was started was between 6-10 years ago (can't remember) and it wouldn't idle or run right so I don't know if there is internal problems If the engine is blown, I won't have time to rebuilt it on my own in one or two days.

Regardless the glass is half full and the engine will start, then I can repair any problems as they arise..............Right people!

Please join in on the event.

I'm in Frank, unfortunately my Vette is undergoing a bit of an happy pedal upgrade and won't be done until mid Sept. So I'll take my daily driver. Hopefully there's another C3 or 2 that can take your dad for a ride.

I'm surprised we don't have more cars signed up. It would be nice to have as many cars as we get for a webers or butter tart run.

The car is looking good Frank, keep up the good work.

It's the same on the cruises Dave. You'll have maybe 10 or so people sign up but then 30-40 cars show up. People won't commit, just in case and then last minute they decide to go. You can probably expect the same for this.

NOCRISIS -Thanks Rick, Maybe in a couple days if I can find the time I should start a poll to see which day would be best for most members. I'm ok with what most members want, in other words, tell me which day works best, the 21st, 22nd, or 23rd.

MotorHead - It would be nice if a fellow member would let you ride with them. My plan if for me to take my dad for a ride. I hope to see you next week if you're able to drop by.

scube & Zeeman28a - I sorta shared Dave's thought but felt it best I keep working on the car and hope for the best.

briankeery - That's would be great if you can make it, I'll put you as a "maybe".

NoShade - Excellent, thank you!.

Update:

I noticed the pillars and window frame (upper bird cage) had some minor rust so I decided to take care of it by wire wheel etc and POR 15.

Sometimes I have to give my head a shake, as if we didn't have enough work already, I decided to add Vintage air to the mix.

More work done to the front bumper area.

VETFEVER - Thanks for the reply Jack, as it stands now it would appear that it's probably either the Saturday or Sunday.

I marked my agenda right after you first posted, either the Saturday or Sunday should work for me. I haven't replied because I'm always afraid something will come up that messes things up for me.
