Looking for back tires for my C6
The back tires on my C6 are getting pretty low on tread, and I'm very low on funds (my 11 week summer vacations every year tend to do that!) so I don't want to spend $800 on a pair of tires so I thought I'd check here to see if anyone has any gently used tires they would like to sell (hopefully for around $100 per tire?) Tire size is 285-35-19
If not, do you guys know of any tire shops in the GTA that would have used tires in this size? I know Tireworld in Brampton carries a lot of used tires and I will definitely check there, but I'd like to know of any others, as I suspect that not a lot of used Corvette sized tires are out there, so the more contacts the better!
Thanks!

check kijiji. my equinox needed 2 front tires and the Michelin Latitude Tour 225/65/17's were $200+TAX EACH. Found a pair last week brand new for $180. Got a shop to install em for $30.

Melting Slicks
Hi Patman. I know it's US dollars and ours suck right now but possibly another alternative for new skins:

UPDATE!
So I finally got around to getting out to Tireworld in Brampton this morning and did I ever get lucky! They had a pair of used Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval runflats that they sold me for just $90 each, and that included free installation and balancing too! They have more than 50% tread life on them, and the date code shows they were built on the last week of 2010, so they are safely within the 7 year window of tire age as well. I'm so happy I found this deal, I ended up with better tires than I thought I was going to find and at a lower price too! I'm hoping to have a C7 before these tires wear out!

There's not much to say on that front actually, I have been tracking the prices of used C7s and they simply aren't dropping at all. For the most part it's actually a lot cheaper to buy a new one than to buy a used one! I'd be perfectly happy with a base model 1LT with just a couple of options and the way I would order it would come out to about $69,000 or so, and very few used ones have been advertised below that price (mostly because they are Z51 models or loaded 3LT cars) But even at 69k that's still too steep for me right now (especially since I just bought tickets to every post season game for the Blue Jays!) So realistically I think I should wait for the prices of used C7s to come down into the $40,000 to $45,000 range. Considering the fact that a 2014 with no options had an MSRP of $53,000 when new, you'd think they would have dropped down into the mid 40s by now, but the ridiculously low allocation of new cars at dealers in Canada has kept these prices up.
Once things settle down a little bit and supply is bigger than demand on the new cars, the used prices will come down, that's a fact, but it's just a matter of when will that occur. I'm hopeful that I might be in a position to buy in 2017, but if prices dropped quickly in 2016 that's a possibility also.
