Bala Bakery Run Sat, Oct 3, 2015

Gong to try again for next Saturday, if anyone is interested and can make it. Should be more scenic with the leaves just now starting to change colours. Long range forecast is currently favourable.

We will grab lunch at Annie's Cafe in the same plaza as Don's Bakery. Maybe do a walk to the mini rapids, there's a couple of curio shops if anyone wants to buy some antiques.

Then after Bala, we'll hop on the windy road and take us to highway 11 for home. By the time we leave Bala, it will be around 2pm-230pm, half hour to Hwy 11, and then about an hour or so to get home from there.

Meet up is at the CanTire Gas bar on Hwy 400 north of Major Mackenzie from 9AM-10AM. We are getting off Hwy 400 at Hwy 88 and backroads for most of the way.

We are heading out for a 3 hour country drive to Bala. And not many places to stop along the way.

I'm starting to think someone/thing doesn't want us going to Bala with a bunch of vettes. I know weather forecast changes every 5 minutes but calling for rain on Saturday. 40% with 1-3mm.

What’s with you rainophobes? The Niagara tour was a great time, the rain just added more character to the event. BTW, rain tomorrow is not supposed to start until the evening. Sun and cloud in the morning with 20% chance of precipitation.

I will be at the OnRoute on Hwy400 by 9am. If no one shows up by 10, then I will make the call. Been watching the weather reports. They are calling for a chance of a shower, starting at around 2pm and to last into the evening, but to only accumulate 1-3mm. Blah blah blah. It changes every 5 damn minutes.

Between the CorvetteForum, the CanadianCorvetteForum and my HDR Facebook page, only 4 people have confirmed.

Myself, JB08 (Joe), Dodosmike (Mike) and Black03Z06 (Murray). 91Centrefold may meet us in Bala.

Bruce and Randy have verbally confirmed. And a couple of others are OOTC.

Should end up being a nice fall drive in the morning.
