On the road again just can't wait to get on the road again. Richard give me a little tip and seems to work both fobs are up and running good to go thanks everyone for your input thanks for the tip Richard

Nice! The contacts man the contacts, no one ever thinks of the contacts!!! I'm going to do that on my fobs...no, not my new immigrant friends my FOBS!!!

Glad you got it sorted out Al. Great tip from Richard, that would be good advice for a lot of electrical components I think.

I tried it on my toaster, it was not working so well but strangely now the toast has an odd flavour. I will start another bread thread.

When working with the lithium batteries, never touch face of the battery with your fingers. Too much oil and grease on your fingers. I actually read some instructions on changing batteries for an electronic device and there it was. Who knew that reading instructions actually works!

did you use Mr Clean on the contacts or just a dry rag?

Had to replace a defective fob (cracked case/no memory) on my ex 2008.Bought it over the winter from Fichtner Chevrolet in Laurel Montana.They have been a big supporter of the Forum from day 1 I believe.Parts to Chev/Corvette Owners at Wholesale.Shipping was slow via USPS but price was right, around $80 & part was ordered over the winter,so no rush.Call Bob Wendorf at 406-628-4121.I also have his home number,but you probably won't need it.Once you become a customer/buyer, they tend to remember who you are when you call in the future.
