Default Cra scam

Beware of a Canadian Revenue Agency telephone SCAM. They will call you and say that there is a warrant out for your arrest for fraud. As the scam goes along they will ask you to go to the bank to get cash.

Haven't had that one yet, but the other day I got a call about my BMO Visa...According to gut on the phone they were so happy with my prompt payment practice that they were going to lower my interest rate Permanently.
All he needed was the last 3 digits from the back of my credit card.

Duh!

And btw, I don't have a BMO visa.

Got a similar thing with RBC just a few days ago: told me I need to hit the link and update my info to get my new credit card as my RBC account (the one I don't have...) has been compromised. I hit the link for kicks from my phone, and the address showed some Japanese website... asked for EVERYTHING you could imagine... name, sin, dob, everything, but other than the website address looking fishy, the page itself looked spot on!
Best part was filling it all out with TV Characters info and hitting send...
