Default replacement batteries

Well a week away from 10 years since I picked up my truck it looks like the batteries bit the dust (12.5V key off, 8.29V key on glow plugs on, 11.85V key on) the truck won't turn over and when I try the clock resets to 12:00

My choices are CTC (not my favorite) $125 to $185, Interstate $135, Optima $239 (from CTC) or find somewhere to get replacement AC Delco (factory lasted 10 years)

Opinions?

The Eliminator AGM with 5 year free replacement warranty and roadside boost is a pretty good deal. Certainly beats the 2 year warranty you get with the probably $60 to $80 more expensive Optima.

Otherwise, just go for the cheapest flooded battery with the best warranty you can find. I don't consider 10 years that special. I've had a cheap Walmart battery go 7 years and a cheap Canadian Tire battery make it close to 10 years just to mention a couple.

The Kirkland brand at Costco has always had good write ups in CR magazine. I've bought a couple there in the past,no issues. You can also check the date of manufacture yourself and buy the newest one.

We've purchased 3 kirkland batteries over the years, the oldest one was 11 years old and still going strong when we sent the car to the scrap yard. I've heard a lot of good reviews about them and the warranty on the last one is pro rated for 8 years. It was a 35 series and including tax it was around $100.00

Walmart has the Everstart battery, made by Energizer and these are very good and are usually priced less than the others too. I have bought the Energizer batteries for all of my cars since the early 90s and have found them to last a very long time.

Default Kirkland

best bang for the buck and warranty if those two things matter: Go with the Kirkland from Costco.
this has been a bad year for me when it comes to car batteries, but all 3 replacements were bought there and so far so good.

Thanks for all the replies, I was able to get AC Delco replacements for a great price through a friend.
