Default First Snow

Woke up this morning ,and found the first accumulation of snow outside. Not that excessive, perhaps 1cm or so. Hope it's not the sign of a long winter. I think it's perhaps the second time my vette ever got covered in it. It's officially winter I think.

I'm at Yonge and Elgin Mills. No snow here either. But it's coming.

It's a few years off, but I can't wait to retire and spend my winters down south. At the first sign of snow I'd be off and running in a hurry! My goal when I retire is to never shovel snow or feel below freezing temps ever again. The older I get the more I hate winter.

That was my feeling for years until I retired this past June. Now we are sitting thinking about how to better enjoy wnter living here in Ontario. My wife is hoping we get into snowmobiling. We will likely head somewhere warm in Feb and or March.

Back before the bare aluminum, polished engine and wheels were cut, I actually loved taking my ol Sting Ray out in the snow. Top down too.

Alas the expanded use of salt and mag-chlo deicers makes that unfeasable. Time for winter beaters when the MOT starts dropping that stuff.

30 cm and still coming down steady
No trails groomed yet, lol

It's going to be messy. The ground isn't frozen yet, we've barely had and hard frosts, maybe one or two. 4-8*c highs for the next few days.
