I recently moved to the Ottawa area and I am currently looking at buying a C2 from a Forum Member in the States. I know; $.40 on the dollar; ouch; but on a positive, these cars are selling at winter prices, so the pain is minimal.

I am looking at a 69 coupe; and the speedometer is not working. Does anybody have the "LeBron James" of mechanics who they trust to do this type of work?

I'm in Toronto and while I don't have first-hand experience in your area, a good friend who is, has had his well-cared for '80 with a guy in Almonte (but didn't recall his name) and another guy is Bill Wright, in Perth ...Wright's Corvettes.

I know Wright's very well; I actually live in Lombardy by the Rideau Ferry; Lombardy is half-way between Perth and Smiths Falls. That's a great suggestion.

More accurately it was referral of my friend Mike Schneider, who operates the Bancroft Tent and Trailer Camp (where we keep our Airstream.) Mike has an 80 (or 81? - can't remember for sure) but you can certainly mention his name.

Sounds like Sean Getty is the man to see.

My wife and I bought a new town house off Terry Fox; move in date in May, so I will be closer to Sean than I will be to Wright's.

I own a C6 ....I've dealt with Sean ( Getty Automotive ) a couple of times ... Top notch shop and very knowledgeable in Corvettes ... and high end sports cars ... would recommend ...
