Hi
I'm new at corvettes and I have been reading and hearing things about corvette at Carlisle. My wife and me Are thing of going. Is it a lot of fun and where would you suggest in staying and how long. We are coming from Colborne Ontario
I see it goes from Aug 25 to 28/2016

we always stay at the Best Western in Carlisle, 5 min drive to the fairgrounds, decent swimming pool (nice after a hot day at the park) and it's right next to Hoss's Steakhouse 717-243-6200 we stay Fri & Sat night., reasonable room rates

I know it Aug. 25 to 28 2016. What time does everything opens and closes during the car show.
I was thinking about going 24 and leaving on the 28th
it takes us about 8 hours travel to get there
I never been there before and suggestion would help us out being our first time

not sure when the gates open but we have been there at 8 AM and things are going strong, not all the vendors are set up thursday and the cars for sale area is not full till friday as a rule

I never been to Carlisle before so what days would you recommend going
I would like to put my car in normal show, just to show the car not be marked. The main thing I want to have fun

there used to be the fun display where driver & passenger get passes for the show and the car is parked in the fun field not judged, look for that when the Carlisle flyer comes out, it's a good deal, i believe it also allows you to clean your car in the clean up area near Gate 3

I was born in the big Metropolis of Dundonald--just north of Colborne--if you follow Slacks post above--lots of good info---we usually leave TO at 5 am---get to Carlisle around 1 pm--do Friday afternoon and all day Saturday---then head back to Ontario on Sunday!!--good trip with lots of good people--tour can be quick at times on the interstate!! hehehehehe--Welcome aboard !!
