OEM Navigation DVD Update
Just this month, GM Navigation Division unveiled their new update version 10 (2016). The previous version 9.00 was in 2013. That version did not include a new twin highway that had been completed in 2011.
I received the new update (version 10.00 2016) and the new highway is on this update. Lot's of new POI's have also been added.
I was very surprised that there was a new update unveiled. I thought for sure that the 2013 was going to be the final update.
This one may well be the final update for the C6 Navigation.
I made a copy of the DVD so I could save the original in pristine condition.
Because the Feds and Provincial governments are in debt, doubt if many new roads will be built, so the version may be good for years to come.
Although many people do not like the OEM NAV because it is not as intuitive as a Garmin, it is very powerful once it is learned.
I really like the Heads Up Display integration. That alone has kept me from going after market.
I like built in electronics, not add on. I have a portable Garmin that I use in my other vehicle, or when we rent a vehicle, but I refuse to have it in my C6.
The GM NAV update is $179.00 US or about a million $$ Canadian
I got a great deal on the upgrade, so that is the one and only reason that I got it.

I did a review of Highway 30 (Autoroute de L'Acier) from intersection (Route 133) to Route 40, and all the highway is shown on the new Nav Map update.
If there is any other highway that your Nav DVD does not show presently, I can check it with the new updated version.
