Its by York University and the UPS Distribution Centre (just east of Pioneer Village). Been like the Google view for at least 25+ years though in terms of number of lanes. Used to pick up my big sis at night from York in dad's 1979 Olds Delta 88 Royale in sky blue.

At the beginning of the clip it shows the location on the google map. It goes kinda quick you might have to pause it.

according to comments below the video; the race took place in Mississauga on Matheson Blvd. and Kennedy Rd.
Not sure what to make if it ?

I remember that Couger.
I used to 'Live' at the Harvey's on Jane and Falstaff. Place full of hot cars. When the word 'Race' was heard, the place cleared out. One of spots to race was in front of York U. 30-40 going up Jane, every one barking their tires, 'what a 'scene'! We used to play football in the parking lot of the lumber yard across Harvey's till the sun came on week ends

One time, around midnight, bunch of cars on the 401E blocked all lanes, slowed, and stopped the traffic. A 'starter' got out, lined up six cars, and let them go, two @ a time...then everyone buggered of course!

Use to race behind the old '400 Drive in', when the movies were still playing!

Dem good old days, for sure!

With this video in mind & the sunny +13C weather in Toronto today - I took the Vette over to the local Harveys for lunch.
But unlike in the past - it was not the "Home of the Hot Ones".
Now looks to be more like - home of all the families with kids...

I was hopping to see her on Barrett-Jackson...one of 1628 made

I ran into the chap I sold her to a few years later. He mentioned that the car was stolen a few months after he got it from me. They found the car, but the motor was out of it!
