Looking for insurance advice. Non daily driver
What do u guys do for insurance. I picked another vehicle and I don't want to pay full pop for the two summer vehicles.
I'm Looking for agreed value policy or collector car insurance. I don't believe we should have to pay for 4 vehicle when my wife and I can only drive one at a time.
Thanks in advance

(As an aside generally it is full year coverage not six months on and off.}
If relevant I can PM you with suggestions based upon my experience.

My Vette is an 06 and the Camaro is a 98. My company now insures all year. They won't do just summer. My Vette is only $30-40 a month so it's not bad. My last Camaro was 90 a month. It ads up when u have 2 daily vehicles and 2 toys.
I was surprised my old 99 TA was 2-3 times more then the corvette.
Feel free to pm me.
Thanks for the advise.

Burning Brakes
When I had my 911 I used Lant/Haggerty Silver Wheel Plan. I paid $180 a year based on a $25,000 value.
I was never told a mileage limit but I couldn't take it to work or to a shopping mall (cruise nights didn't count).
The price was right but I never had to make a claim.

I was an existing Hagerty customer and they were almost double what I ended up paying.......with better coverage as well. Hagerty I think is really good for 25+ year old cars but are not much interested in 15 to 25 years.

I haven't called yet Frank but I'm going to call Echelon this week. I had a few people suggest it and the rates seem to be better then the other suggestions. Seeing I do like to drive my car to work when it's nice out and haggerty does not allow that.
Thanks guys for the help. CF does it again

Hi guys. Can any of you PM me the secrets as well?
We have 2 DD and 2 hobby cars but I just picked up another 15-25yo hobby car and with a big new driveway, have my eye on more.
I use Lant for the hobby cars but as mentioned here the criteria is tightening up. I too get incensed thinking we are only two drivers so why no break when you have multiple cars. Can't drive them all at once!
I'd investigate any solution.

They treated me like gold. Neighbour across the street once had a bigger claim while in the US and they treated him right too.

Insurance contacts
Here are three contacts that provide coverage for cars over 15 years old:
- Echelin contact is through Zehr Brokers; Scott Smith (ssmith@zehrinsurance.com)
-Vintage Insurance - http://www.vintageautoinsurance.ca/ (Jason Wilson 1-800-307-7066)jason.wilson@reedsinsurance.ca I believe no longer cover 15 to 25 year old cars.
or
adasilva@secureinsurance.ca.
I assume you are all familiar with Hagerty through Lant.
All of these will require an appraisal.

Beware of CUMIS. Perhaps the most incompetent insurance company I have ever dealt with. With them for almost 35 years for house insurance with only one small claim many years ago (under $1K). Sent me a letter telling me they did not want my business any longer and never gave a reason. There are real issues for a consumer if an insurance company cancels you and you do not get a replacement prior to the expiration date of the policy.

Finding insurance can be challenging and here's some great advice I got for finding it!
1. Always seek advice from a reputable broker.
2. Make a checklist of everything you need to insure, including contents, equipment etc.
3. Don’t forget liability insurance.
Here's an excellent resource I used to find awesome insurance!
